That’s a decent combination for others in the team to exploit. Don’t read tonnes into this but here is yesterday’s passing network, which shows who passed to who. Usually the high numbers for City come from CBs passing to each other or to the full-backs. Yesterday was obviously slightly more frantic a game, it was a Derby and Cardiff very direct….but for Martin and Weimann (two forwards) to be the highest, and by some distance is very unusual…and testament to how well they played as a pair yesterday. Port Said Red Posted August 31, 2021 Report Share Posted August 31, 2021 I noticed yesterday that this has been the most productive part of his career, 25 goals in 101 games, apart from one short loan spell he has never averaged 1 in 4.
