Gazred
Just before i seek a few quotes, just wondered if anyone can recommend a repairer for some, i think, minor but ugly scratches on my bonnet. Left my car in a pay and display for a few hours on the weekend, came back to find some piece of crap had deliberately put their key or similar across the bonnet for no reason whatsoever. Totally mindless and infuriating but such is the world we live in sometimes. Anyway, if anyone can recommend someone it would be appreciated. Ronnie Sinclair
If your fingernails don't 'drop' into the scratch then they can be polished out (I bought a new car recently and it had some like this (albeit not as deep). A guy in Staple Hill buffed them out in 10 minutes flat
Admin Maesknoll Red Posted August 31, 2021 Admin Report Share Posted August 31, 2021 Not sure where you are located, but some twat hit my parked T5 and drove off. These guys did a fantastic job, so can speak from personal experience. https://www.dentsrus.co.uk

Ronnie Sinclair
This is the guy (Adam) I was referring to https://www.prestigedetailingbristol.co.uk/ Based in Staple Hill if its light enough it will come out with a bit of a machine polish. Also I had my old car keyed with deeper scratches all down one side before Christmas, and DLG sorted it out did an immaculate job blending it back in https://www.dlgautoservices.com/location_bristol.html

Norn Iron
Don't laugh but get a soft cloth and add some toothpaste to it. Then gently rub into the affected area. You'll be amazed just how much of the scratches disappear. I use this. It works but only on surface scratches.
grifty
Could give some T-Cut a go on the edge of it?

Toothpaste is also great at removing other car doors' paint and rubber!

I will post the result. Thanks again for the recommendation.

Gazred
Dropped it in this morning, he said it won't take him long. Then an hour later he sends me some pics. Even touched up a scuffed black alloy. As it only took 5 mins he tried to say he didn't want paying! No way that'll be happening, done an amazing job and a very nice bloke as well. He'll be getting a few quid and a very food review. Thanks again @Ronnie Sinclair, like you said, magician.
