Port Said Red
I saw the name Lyons-Foster on the scoresheet for Tottenham U21's in the EFL Trophy yesterday and thought that it was unlikely to be a coincidence. Sure enough, Brooklyn Lyons-Foster is the younger brother of Kodi who was on our books for 4 years. At 20 Brooklyn is highly thought of at Spurs. I was always disappointed that Kodi failed to make it here, he looked a lovely player each time I saw him play, I was quite surprised to find that he is only 24 now, so may make a step up back into league football at some point. There are good articles on both him and his brother here... https://superhotspur.com/2021/02/02/where-are-they-now-former-spurs-academy-player-kodi-lyons-foster/ https://superhotspur.com/2019/06/26/my-piece-on-brooklyn-lyons-foster-tottenhams-classy-and-highly-decisive-young-central-defender/ I remember reading an article elsewhere a while back, where Kodi said he had actually considered giving up the game as he lost the enjoyment of it, but there is no mention of that in those articles and he seems to be enjoying his time at Aldershot. Davefevs
I mentioned Kodi last week in my post about signing in the LJ / MA era.
Red Skin
I wonder if we approached his younger brother when we had Kodi with us? It's always a shame when a young talented kids falls out of love with the game. Hope there's some kind of review of how things are being done rather than just putting down to the youngster. Too much pressure and expectation on all young people these days, and it must be worse you those involved professional sport.
