Admin Maesknoll Red Posted September 1, 2021 Admin Report Share Posted September 1, 2021 Just a heads up for anyone with an older car or motorbike, from today standard unleaded becomes E10, which has a 10% ethanol content, this will bugger up up seals and other bits of your fuel system if it wasn’t designed to run on it. Make sure you buy super unleaded which remains at 5% ethanol. If you aren’t sure, you can check here. Check if your vehicle can run on E10 petrol
Bristol Rob
Does E10 petrol stop you from running yourself over in your car after having 4 jacket potatoes? Or do we need to wait for the E17 petrol for that.

Vespa Red
It's been a problem for a fair few years (ethanol content I mean...can't comment about Brian Harvey) as far as I can gather. A number of mates have complained that their piston heads have burnt through (Vespa's mostly) because of the petrol quality. What with the emission changes which will hit 2-stroke scooters, the future is going to have to be automatic...
