Reflections on that half…. rather akin to PNE we are very fortunate to go in at 0-0 they have had the clear chances and Bentley pulled off a brilliant save on 43 minutes + they’ve hit the woodwork twice.

In contrast we haven’t looked like scoring.

HNM is again buzzing otherwise we are looking a bit predictable and ponderous.

Big opportunity for Wells to stake a claim in the second half.

That long throw needs to get in the bin. It completely derails our momentum every time we get in their half and leaves us open on the counter. You’ve literally got Kalas on the wing and Baker stood on their touch line and the throw is barely past the half way line. Absolutely ridiculous

How with diagonals in the air every bloody time? Hit and hope football.

We started well. The first 15 was good, the highlight being Pring swinging a pearler of a deep cross from the left and someone (Martin?) fluffing their lines at the back post. The middle 15 was even. Luton bossed the last 15 and should be 2-0 up. We’re still in it, crucially, but need to play much better.

If I was Nige, it’d be Wells on for Martin, Semenyo for Scott, and Dasilva for Baker at HT.

My positivity is waning. Most of the positivity has been about energy and getting a bunch of hopeful crosses in. I think we are mistaking being better than last season to being good. We are still very poor and these team selections are not working.

It should be 2-0 minimum to Luton. Preston probably edged it. Swansea beat us 1-0. We have 1 goal in 7 halves at home. This isn’t good enough and countless hopeful crosses and long throws with the occasional weimann press is getting real boring real quick. More importantly ineffective. NP needs to get his head out because we’ll struggle long term again this season if he doesn’t.
