Luton Town home match-day thread

We started well. The first 15 was good, the highlight being Pring swinging a pearler of a deep cross from the left and someone (Martin?) fluffing their lines at the back post. The middle 15 was even. Luton bossed the last 15 and should be 2-0 up. We’re still in it, crucially, but need to play much better.

If I was Nige, it’d be Wells on for Martin, Semenyo for Scott, and Dasilva for Baker at HT.

My positivity is waning. Most of the positivity has been about energy and getting a bunch of hopeful crosses in. I think we are mistaking being better than last season to being good. We are still very poor and these team selections are not working.

It should be 2-0 minimum to Luton. Preston probably edged it. Swansea beat us 1-0. We have 1 goal in 7 halves at home. This isn’t good enough and countless hopeful crosses and long throws with the occasional weimann press is getting real boring real quick. More importantly ineffective. NP needs to get his head out because we’ll struggle long term again this season if he doesn’t.

Could be 3 or 4 down. No imagination in our attacks

No imagination whatsoever.

Absolutley embarrassing throwings by Kalas - does any of his throws reach any of our players?

Fed up with our aimless crossing aswell.

Terrible half for us - players need a few harsh words.

That long throw needs to get in the bin. It completely derails our momentum every time we get in their half and leaves us open on the counter. You’ve literally got Kalas on the wing and Baker stood on their touch line and the throw is barely past the half way line. Absolutely ridiculous

We’ve scored once from it all season but seems to be our only tactic ever since

We don't have the forwards for early balls in from the angles of those Vyner crosses. It's surely what he's told to do. The Luton defenders always going to be favourites to deal with it.

Semenyo has to come on at some point. Left side Pring is playing quite well but obviously Baker offers so little going forward.

Defensively all over the place. Defence and midfield. Lacking energy, lacking organisation.

I think Luton manager would have seen the Preston video and how easily they coped with us defensively restricting us to long shots and how we certainly can be got at on the break.

Not sure if change of system is needed maybe.

No real forward outlets. Getting given the run around by Cornick and Jerome says it all. Not technically strong players but players who are willing to run in behind with a bit of pace - which we lack massively.

Thank goodness for Bentley. Should be 4 or 5.

We're getting the ball in okay areas but no attacker linking up or dropping in to support with enough quality. Bullied off it so easily.

Unfort both full backs having poor games and we look very lacklustre all over pitch. Just change Baker for JD, and Semenyo for Martin to give us some fast attacking options

Think you may get your wish. JD being warmed up

We are playing with 2 cbs at full back, the moment they get close to the half way line they get a nose bleed. Literally makes no sense to me at all. When is o dowda, supposed to have been fit weeks ago.

There is no justifiable reason to play baker ahead of Dasilva today, cardiff yes, but not today.

To be fair, whats dasilva going to actually contribute? Perhaps pring at left back with semenyo in front of him might work?

No other fan does either. Someone needs to explain the logic of his selection to me.

Defend corners? 😂

I don't think Baker has done bad there but we lack creativity down that side and not like we have defended well at all with 4 centre backs across the back 4!

Just about to post very similar.

NP must be the only bloke in the world that thinks Vyner and Baker are full backs.
