Seriously? You moan and bitch about some topics that come up on here "what has this got to do with city" and then post THIS?

This is a Bristol City football club fans forum not a bloody general knowledge quiz!

Apart from that, what town are you going for?

The largest city never to have had a league club used to be Salford but it`s probably Wakefield now. I recall many years ago whenever Plymouth played Hull there was much made of the fact that they were the two biggest cities that had a league club but had never played in the First Division/Premier League. As we know only too well, it no longer applies to Hull!

The two biggest now are probably Salford and Plymouth with possibly Milton Keynes as an outsider.

Isn’t Warrington a suburb of Manchester or Liverpool?

It`s all one big conurbation now but places like St Helens, Warrington, Bolton, Wigan, Bury and Widnes do have their separate identities and think of themselves as towns. Think of it like Burnham and Highbridge, they`re joined together but consider themselves separate.
