First half observations

A fairly even half although Millwall bossed the opening 15 minutes and looked lively / dangerous. We then got into the game a bit more without ever really threatening

We had a huge let off on 31 minutes when Afobe should have buried it and he had another decent chance on the cusp of half-time

Our passing has - yet again - generally been poor

Baker’s substitution on half an hour a concern

They have delivered some dangerous corners

Ref has had a great half, he’s let the game flow and been almost invisible

Pretty vanilla half from us, with no memorable moments

Jay has delivered a couple of decent crosses, hopefully the knock he picked up just before half-time isn’t serious

Just felt like a mid table scrap between two well matched sides. Both had spells, ours in the middle of the half, Bents having to make the better saves. Benik looking the most likely here to get one.

Not much in it, crying out for a bit of quality.

Two bang average teams playing out a mediocre game.  One bit of quality, or more likely a mistake, decides it.

That is very much a performance I’ve become accustomed too.

Not a lot in that first half. Weimann had the best chance, seizing upon a missed header which put him clean through on goal and he failed to get a shot off. Bentley made a couple of good saves to thwart Afobe.

Impressive 45s for both Williams and Dasilva; Martin and Bakinson both watching the game pass by. Pring in the back three is a concern, but I’d have Wells and Palmer on pretty sharpish IMO. It’s there for the taking.

Played well in patches with Baks delivering good passes to Weimann, Martin and DaSilva. Far too many crosses into the City box and we definitely lost concentration following Bakers substitution, ball watching to allow Afobe a one-on-one. However, good shape, and solid tackling, but need to be far better in possession.

Wow a particularly boring first half 2 teams who just don't want to lose...

Bakinson is the most frustrating player ever his languid play just infuriates me, he needs a kick up the ass... Game is calling out for wells pace up front...

Not a lot in it.

Millwall bossed the opening. Williams and Tanner were slow to get up to pace.

Tanner improved, and City improved as Williams grew into the game.

Our best spell saw Bakinson have the ball often, possibly would do better with Palmer in his place.

Satisfactory. 

Doing well at the back, Bents superb, Atkinson very good. Need to be sharper up front. Bakinson silky smooth but for a guy of decent height and strength needs to do a lot more work on his heading (in)abilities.

Fam was offered a good deal and wouldnt sign he wanted out and ran down his contract so we got nothing for him Just get over him

Vast improvement on recent seasons.  We look a team and not a set of individuals, plus better tempo.  We all know, along with NP, that we need a striker.  Let’s hope January.

I wonder if the players notice the workrate of Han missing today, i kept looking for him on the pitch and he wasn't there, must have been worse for the players

A bit disappointed with our lack of quality at times.  Millwall aren't that good, we are surrendering possession too easily at times.

Would be very tempted to replace Bakinson with Wells and move Weimann into the left midfield role.

We are a bit deep, and this means James is deep to screen, and therefore their midfield has a bit too much time.  Can get us 5-10 yards further up and then we feel joined-up.

Don't forget they had to groundshare with Harchester as well.

This season was all about consoldation for me so I'll take a few uninspiring performances if it gives a platform to build on.
