Nottingham Forest at home match day thread

Disagree. COD up front should at this stage of the game be running his nuts off to press. If you leave Wells on who had been doing it all game what would be said 'should have taken hi off for fresh legs'

That substitution decision was not the problem, however much some people might like to make out it was!

I want to see:

- the Scott penalty shout (Scott didn't seem furious about it not being given but Wiemann and James did)

- the Baker penalty, Baker seemed furious with the ref suggesting he thinks he got a foot on it (not sure how he would have) or that the Forest player went down (nobody else seemed angry with the ref though suggesting it was a pen).

- the last goal as Bentley seemed insensed that the handball was not given but other were screaming offside (which they'd often get wrong if they were ball watching though).

Screams to me of poor game management and individual mistakes again.

Cod did f all.

Don't really get this argument, as we have made £60m+ profit on players over the last few years and are the 6th most supported club in the championship this season.... We're not exactly skint!

But we lose a ton of money every year that SL bails us out on. There are many on here that are much more versed in this but trust me, there may well be cash to spend BUT we cannot spend it because we would be breaking the rules - it is that simple.

As an example take Newcastle United, now effectively owned by part of the Saudi government, the PIF, who have assets of £250bn - that is not a typo- they cannot spend more than £190m in January because of the same reason.

If SL wanted to give Nige a load of money in January he could, but eventually we would be hammered with a points deduction and an embargo and fine.

I'm still behind Nige.

Play that last ten minutes 100 times and we'd win in probably 85 of them, and draw in 14 of them. Just one of those things.

I think Pearson is the best manager for us, for now, overseeing this overhaul of the squad and club.

Preparing to get slaughtered for this opinion now.

id get prepared to get slaughtered saturday against west brom

It’s sad but it’s true.

We clearly have some good young players, but we also have some absolutely average-to-bad senior pros stinking up the place; need shot of the dead wood asap to be able to get a real sense of things.

But honestly; it’s ******* Groundhog Day with these last min goals - and that isn’t just individual mistakes, it’s the coaching; we defend too deep and for too long. I’d rather lose 3-1 trying to go for the jugular than 2-1 to these shitty last minute shockers.

Before tonight, how many last min goals have we conceded in the league? Two? Terribly crap and disappointing but hardly worthy of Groundhog Day status in the context of the number of games we’ve played so far - we are, however, charging towards Sunderland’s record of home games without a win ... ??

Jesus...

Ref was crap, thought we played well against probably one of the in form teams in the country.

Scott was a revelation, Wells, James, Baker and Kalas looked good.

A stupid mistake against Luton and one tonight have cost us. Silly errors no doubt Nige will get these out of us.

A game that could've gone either way, sadly it didn't go ours, but even then, I did enjoy it.

That team cares and runs and fights. Its been years since i thought that. Its a very young team, nieve in fact, but we are not a million miles off. We just don't have the options up front. Keep this squad together for a few years, with the youngsters coming through,  I have no doubt this will bring us success.

Breathe everyone. Remember our result against QPR, sometimes it does and will go our way.

How about we’ve only got ourselves to blame… Scott first half, open goal. Nahki wells 2nd half 1 on 1. Finish out chances and we could’ve even should’ve been out of sight…. Maybe ?

Do you mean the Wells 1 on 1 that the keeper pulled off a great save to tip it onto the post and out for a corner but which the ref gave a goal kick?
