TomThumb84
If Scotty is on £56k a year then that is value for money and then some. Absolutely cracking individual and offers more around the club than many. Anyone who may begrudge a genuine club legend and a superb community individual that kind of money, and yet hero-worships some of our £10-20k A WEEK plodders (no fault of their own they were bought), needs a reality check. Johnny Musicworks
I suppose we will know shortly if Downing was on the bus or under it along with 1 or 2 players maybe.
TomThumb84
Simpson and Downing leaving was absolutely nailed on from the second Pearson walked through the door. This has been done in a very sensitive and slow way, as much of our rebuild has to be done for a couple of reasons. 1) They are both thoroughly decent guys and coaches with good pedigree pre-us who were sold a dummy by the club; 2) Getting shot of them immediately as was surely part of NP’s plan and agreement to sign a 3 year deal would further compound and be further admission that the appointment of Holden and all associated with it through Ashton was an absolutely unforgivable shambles all under Lansdowns direction and accountability. Good luck to both PS and KD, but another part of our horrendous recent history re-booted. Edited October 23, 2021 by TomThumb84

Would rather we save the money and invest it in the playing side. The “savings” are so minimal as to be worthless for any investment in the squad. We might get one half decent loanee and cover his wages for their wages. But i imagine they will be replaced which makes that moot.

Why is a kit man on more than that?! Cos he’s funny? Not too bad if it`s Reading on a Saturday but Boro on a Tuesday night not so much!

As you say then collect everything and often when back at stadium start the washing then to get stuff turned around if next game is soon.
