Kid in the Riot
The Crown in St Nicks has just reopened. The guy that runs Mother's Ruin has taken it on. He's shifting the live music over to the basement of The Crown where there's a 150 capacity. Live music most nights of the week. Sure to be lots of local bands playing
Lew-T
Isn’t it a bit depressing virtually no big music act has come out of Bristol?

internetjef
Possibly a bit of a push as they are a bit of a local mega act now rather than small local, but Idles two new tracks released off the the soon to be released 4th album are great

Obviously Manchester and Liverpool very big with the music scene… Sheffield Arctic Monkeys Leicester Kasabian Even Brighton got Fatboy Slim. 1960maaan
I will bang on about this lot every time local bands or under rated bands are mentioned. Brilliant live and the Album is still one of my favs. Fortune Drive. Someone else making waves, former Phantom Limb (good band too) lead singer and part time Massive Attack guest singer Yola. 2 very good solo albums, embraced C&W a bit, think she's resident in the States now, though the albums are varied.
