Popular Post Globe Trotter
Fantastic performance both. I genuinely think their courage and fearlessness in the midst of the battering we were getting at the start helped them more senior players grow in confidence. 100% effort and plenty of skill , Top job! 91 4
And Its Smith
Both absolutely superb. Have loved Benarous for a while now and delighted to see him ready before we thought he would be.

Popular Post Littlesh*t
They are both clearly classy players but what impressed me more than anything was the time wasting, tackles and general winding up of there players which I didn't expect from 2 young lads 30
Dolman_Stand
Ssssssssshhhh, don't tell anyone!! Last thing we need is a big money offer in January for either of them
Numero Uno
It’s the lack of fear that’s the key. Noticeable that they both WANT the ball. Tonight will do wonders for their confidence. 8

Won't be the last time he gets someone sent off I am sure.
YGBjammy
Proud to support a club who actually let's them play. Perhaps brought about by circumstances, but still credit to the club for trusting them. A lot of clubs talk the talk about their youth academies but rarely do you actually see players given a decent chance.
MarcusX
An absolute delight to watch them play. for all the negatives of the last few months/year, there’s some positives growing. Some young talented lads coming up through the team

ciderwithtommy
Benarous showing exactly what we have missed for 18months. Ability to keep the ball in tight spaces, and a desire to be a winner at all costs. Unreal it’s taken a 18 y/o to show our older lads how’s its done, but there you go!
robin_unreliant
I thought Scott did really well, even if he had to do a lot more defending than is probably natural for him.
Red Army 75
Absolutely class. Especially Benarous unbelievable talent. Up the ******* city
Simon79
Both played well. But Benarous in particular impresses me. A real swagger, a confidence in his ability on the ball, happy to hand out some stick, ball manipulation in tight areas, has time on the ball & knows how to draw a foul when we needed a breather. Really impressed & I have high hopes for him in particular. COYR 3

He certainly has form for being able to keep the ball - granted this is from 5 years ago so only 12 or 13, but you can see his talent on the ball. https://www.instagram.com/p/BKwF4DUAwdT/?utm_medium=copy_link
petehinton
Been convinced for years that Benarous would leave us for a bigger team before we ever saw him in the first team. Absolutely delighted that’s not the case. Him & Scott putting in performances like that for 99 minutes at this level is outstanding

DaveInSA
Is that the same Benarous who was written off after his first substitute appearance? or is it a different one?
tin
Benarous showed maturity beyond his years in the closing stages. Both he and Scott’s work-rate shone through for me. That sets the standard for all to follow.

Gazred
It's fantastic to see. With the development curve they are on we'll be lucky to see them beyond a couple more seasons.
Ecko
Both were very impressive tonight and hopefully they kick on and improve. Fair play to Pearson and the coaching staff for giving them and others their chance.
Fordy62
They’ll have bad days ahead I’m sure, but how amazing it is to see a couple of players who grab your attention as soon as they get the ball. I bet they’ll be reading this thread tonight absolutely buzzing.

AshtonRobin21
Both are fantastic talents. Really impressed with how they have made the step up. I hope they will remain with us for many years to come. Benarous' composure during injury time was incredible. The calmest player on the pitch, making all the correct decisions, and forcing Stoke into challenges. Huge credit to both of them tonight. Also great to see the players praise Benarous at the final whistle. Up the City!

On another night with another ref than Langford Scott may have seen red rather than yellow but his booking didn't stop his commitment. Benarous did well to make sure that Joe Allen was Langfords first red card of the season but he too will pick up bookings along the way. The kids are alright but let's not get carried away just yet. I suspect they may drop back to the bench once James and King are fit.
