Nongazeuse Posted December 1, 2021 Report Share Posted December 1, 2021 Saw Kennedy score 4 against us at Anfield in late 74 , if I recall correctly. It was a 4-0 score in the League Cup 2nd round I think I had just started at Uni in Manchester and missed last bus back. First experience of hitch-hiking but luckily got lift back with some lads in a van who were staying in Manchester and had fancied a trip to Anfield . Strangely perhaps although he's described as a Liverpool legend, winning the trophies he did with them, but I always thought of him as an Arsenal player. Nickybee Posted December 1, 2021 Report Share Posted December 1, 2021 Very underrated player in my opinion. Class act in that Liverpool midfield. I seem to recall a goal that he scored against us at AG in the old Div 1. Memories fade I know but I believe he strode forward from midfield, took a pass in his stride, sat our keeper down (John Shaw?) and simply walked around him and placed it in the net.
