So glad I was just old enough (& in my teens appreciate them) to see those 4 years, as at 58 I’m not convinced I ever will again. Yes I was watching the Arsenal game on Big Match Revisited the other day thinking that’s the exact team we got promoted with, besides maybe one of the yo-yo clubs it would be suicide to try that now. I’m a similar age and looking at this book I’m thinking, that was that. It was wonderful having top flight football in Bristol but I’m struggling to imagine me seeing it again.
