Pitch Invader

What I found annoying is when the stewards finally caught up with him they proceeded to walk him across the pitch adding to his moment of fame instead of taking the shortest route off the pitch. They were even called back to A8 by their superior. Unbelievable.

I can’t be the only one slightly worried that one day one of these idiots is going to run on the pitch with the intent of doing either a player or one of the officials some serious harm, instead of just running about like a prat.

We have to open our coats/jackets these days when entering the grounds of the stadium. For that reason, safety is guaranteed ?

Obvs ??‍♂️

Like the Birmingham fan who lashed out at Jack Grealish a few seasons back

Credit has to go to the City steward number 57 who literally stood and watched this lad climb over a railing and then over a number of rows of seats before entering the pitch.

It was really surreal seeing the lad come down the stand that nobody approached him

Amazing isn’t it. Yet, when there is a goal, the stewards move at the speed of light to line the perimeter to prevent people having a moment of joy

So was he one of Derby’s or one of ours? Was all a little bizarre

It's very difficult to stop any moron from entering the pitch but the way you handle it has to be in an efficient and professional way. More problems like this and the club could get in trouble with the EFL.

Considering that the first blocks of seats are netted over it would be really easy to see where the idiot entered the pitch which must have been on the side of the kiosk. How he wasn't picked up beforehand is really down to the stewards to answer for that.

The stewards and their metal scanners obviously don't pick up smoke flares either - must be made of cardboard.

That reminded me of a couple of amusing ones I saw on YouTube a while ago.

01:08 onwards. Ref also appeared to signal for freekick to be taken as well.

At least one chasing steward appeared to slip over on the 2nd one....not a bad free kick either to say he was being pursued by stewards! At least it's on target...?
