McNasty Filth
My old man mentioned this to me after watching some brain dead daytime tv (he's fine, thanks for asking). Don't remember a lot about Aizlewood apart from him being a bit of a hard bastard. Got away with a 5,000,000 fraud of public money by running a fake football apprenticeship scheme. Dunno who's worse, him or Mcindoe? Some context. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/aizlewood-mark-carmarthen-town-prison-21566452 18m18s in on below link https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0012bbl/fraud-squad-series-3-shortened-versions-episode-2 Apologies if this has been mentioned before, though couldn't really find a big mention on it. GrahamC
He’s a nasty piece of work, footage is online of him assaulting a female TV reporter who asked him about another fraud case.
Shuffle
After years of agony, I ran on the pitch following Donowa winner v Gas & Aizlewood was first player I reached. Told me to calm down as only a game which being Welsh was how he saw it but as Bristolians, we all know different!

For the game at Ipswich, they took the lead and in the second half goal keeper Sinclair was beaten by another shot, but Aizlewood charged through the area, leapt acrobatically and palmed the ball over the bar! Thompson hit the resultant penalty high and wide of the goal. MA was not sent off for that deliberate handball.
SBB
My “tutors” for college day release, during my 2nd year YTS were Aizlewood and Paul Sugrue. They used to turn up in an MR2, Sugrue in full Pat Sharp dressed as knightrider. They both absolutely loved themselves. We knew it was a joke and basically sat in the cafe for most of the day. They didn’t care whether we were in class or not.
BTRFTG
Once spent an afternoon near him and his brother Steve watching the same groups around Celtic Manor. Arrogant sod who loves the sound of his own voice.
BS3City
My memory is fading as I get older, however I'm sure it was Aizlewood who took out Trevor Francis once upon a time around the halfway line up at Sheff Weds. One of the best fouls I think I've ever seen!

It was only a year after the Hillsborough tragedy. It was eary looking down on the terrace below and thinking of what had happened not long before. I must say that the atmosphere that night was possibly the best I’ve ever witnessed, the Wednesday kop was heaving and was an awesome sight. Well that's the big problem with being a minor celebrity and ripping people off - everyone know what you look like.

Oh Louie louie
He said mac, was going round to players he thought was a soft touch, to get more money, to pay the more volatile ones. Robbing peter to pay paul so to speak. Oliver reed once offered to make alex higgins a lot of money pool hustling in south london. He declined, on the basis people knew his face!
Wealwayseatcheese
Big Aiz lived about 2 miles from me when he lived in Portskewett. Quite often saw him walking back from the pubs in Caldicot on a Saturday night with his mrs when I was coming home from work. Used to love watching him play, hard as nails. Elruliri
I remember him running half the length of the pitch to headbutt a player, right in front of the referee. Needless to say he got sent off. I think it might of been against Plymouth.

Fiale
How did he make 5 million on a non existing apprenticeship scheme ? There seems little information on the actual fraud... Just seems a lot of money.
