old_eastender
1-1, that all started with Chris Martin playing with concrete boots instead of holding the ball up

bcfc01
Scott caught upfield leaving a big gap behind him with no one covering. Poor all round. Can't blame Scott as he's 18 and being played out of position.
tin
Vyner does absolutely nothing to stop that cross coming in. Pathetic.
westonred
Whilst i like both Scott and Benarous neither are full/wing backs and we invite teams to attack us down the sides

Would be impossible not too

Jefferz
Agreed. How can NP keep picking Vyner. Jogging back, no pressure on the ball. Cross comes in to easily, able to pick someone out.

cityexile
HT. Not sure we would have deserved to go in ahead on the balance of play really. Not awful, but far from good.
Super
Prob a fair score. We started well but as per usual it never lasts. Don't get me started on Martin again just so bad.

pl00peh91
The reason why we don’t win most games is because we can’t keep the ball for more than five passes before either losing it or playing back to the keeper before punting it long
Curr Avon
Scott has been caught out of position several times, allowing Toffalo to cross at will. We need to be tighter there and on the left flank. That also seems to be our problem in possession. Rather than play with width we're hoofing to Martin for flick ons that fail and having to defend counter attacks.
Jefferz
Perhaps NP keeps picking Martin to showcase for Lansdown the need for a striker in the January window.

old_eastender
1-1 HT, great start but equaliser has been on the cards. Martin looking like he is wearing lead boots, barely any hold-up play from him, and a dreadful pass when Semenyo could have been in. I'd pull him for Conway or Wells myself. Weimann, goal aside, has been poor again too, giving the ball away cheaply and doing little to help defend. Benarous mainly done well up against Thomas, as has Scott on other side. Rubbish passing from Atkinson and Vyner not been much better.

Alex_BCFC
Vyner and Martin are poor. We can’t hold the ball and Scott isn’t a wing back. Apart from that - they are doing as well as the can and Semenyo looks really good.

Jerseybean
Even with my most positive outlook that was a very poor half from us. I was hoping and willing that somehow we’d get to half time one up but we are actually fortunate we aren’t losing. Huddersfield have dominated possession, played fluid football and looked very comfortable. We have, by contrast, hardly had the ball, given it away far to often and been forced to go backwards or play hopelessly hopeful balls forward. The only positives (1) despite their domination they haven’t troubled Bents much (2) Scott looks good again (3) we aren’t losing. Unless NP can work some magic we are going to get nothing from this game. Hoping we can’t be so poor in the second half.
