Mr Popodopolous
Looks like they are under investigation for salary cap breaches. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/leicester-tigers-under-investigation-for-possible-salary-cap-breach-s560xpbh5 Wonder how many others there are- it also says the Salary Cap for the Guinness Premiership or whatever it is called now, is £6.4m and falls to £5m next season. If they're found in breach, they could be in big trouble- the RFU and investigators now have greater powers and investigative remit than at the time of Saracens and their punishment was quite strong in the end! Plus a snippet in the article. Quote 'The Times knows of a different Premiership club that many years ago used an image rights company as a mechanism to boost players’ income outside of the salary cap.' Wonder who that might be? Assuming not Leicester or Saracens... Edited December 29, 2021 by Mr Popodopolous
