Bristol City v Cardiff City at home match day thread

What a game, what a feeling, what a day. Missed this feeling. 

I just knew if we went into HT level that we'd go on to win.. Cardiff tired in 2nd half and their pressing game dropped because of this and true quality went on to prevail.

Hope they get relegated too

We actually lloked like we had some shape & game plan. 

Oh to have a fit Johnny Williams in the middle of the pitch and with the dynamic of AW, AS & CM up front, we look like we have some threat at last. 

Good performances all round today.

Nige picked the same team as I would’ve….doesn’t happen that often.  I got a bit of stick for picking O’Dowda in my team suggestion earlier this week.  But you can’t just drop a player after one bad game, after he’s played decently for a period.  I was worried he was trending down, but he was much better today, did his hard work, grew in confidence, just lacked that final ball. Better.

True, true. Thing is Fam is a 1 in 3 man, not just in terms of goals/games, but he almost exactly scored 1 goal every 3 games. He did it before us, with us (bar the last few months), and has carried that record on after us.

So with Fam you know what you get.

Weimann's a little different. More unpredictable. I feel right now he's as likely to score 10 as he is to score 0 between now and the end of the season.

When Massengo gave the ball away, my first reaction was for him to sprint as quickly as he could to not play anyone onside.  He didn’t.  I will try and pause it on the cross when Wyscout updates, because Collins is very tight to being offside - but obviously played on by Massengo.

Both sides struggled, we weren’t outplayed, they were no better, just had a few set pieces that’s all.  Just because we weren’t playing well, doesn’t always mean our opponent is though.  Imho.

Looking at the highlights there is nothing to suggest that the ref was going to award a free kick when Flint upended AW in the moment before CM scored.
