Doors or Wheels...

When is a door not a door? When it’s ajar. Are ajar doors really doors? Are jars doors?  Also, what is a wheel? A Polo mint has a hole in the middle so put two on a pencil and you have two wheels on a shaft. Do donuts with a hole in the middle  count as wheels? Is a revolving door just one door, or do you count every individual door that makes up the whole? Sometimes French doors are called French windows, so are they doors or windows. This is making feel like a lie down in a dark room

The answer is doors, but it sparks a hell of a debate!  Polo's and doughnuts do not count as wheels though! A wheel is something that is intended to be a wheel! Those other things are just round!  BUT! Where does a cog in a machine fit in.....?  It's purpose is to rotate.....

Graaaaaaarghhhhh!!!!  Think i might be joining you Pongo!

This explains everything:

Round like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel
Never ending or beginning on an ever spinning reel
Like a snowball down a mountain, or a carnival balloon
Like a carousel that's turning running rings around the moon

Where does everyone stand on the subject of gates? Doors or not?

David Gates was in Bread, so not Doors.

Jim Morrison was in the Doors, as was Ray Manzerak and the guitarist and drummer, whose names escape me!.

It is crucial to the debate what was invented first the door or the wheel as one could possibly have had a thousand year headstart on the other. I would guess the wheel was invented first as had doors been around then the inventor of the wheel would definitely have kept his/her discovery behind closed doors until the invention had been patented. The wheel was never patented. (The door was never patented either. It's inventor took it to the patent office with this in mind but when he returned he discovered that they had painted it instead.)

That having been established, I would state that I believe there are more doors than wheels.

How interesting.

I thought of this one, a favourite of mine back in the day.
