Never a fan- don’t watch much telly-but I smiled at the memory that the original writer, a fanatical City fan, subtly named many of the main characters after City legends. Thus the hospital was staffed by Drs called Jordon and Merrick etc. It took some months, I recall, for anyone in authority at the beeb to notice.
