Anyone else fuming about that decision to book Bentley? Brown literally holding Bents by the neck and dragging him over the barrier because he was frustrated that he couldn't get the ball. If there is a second bookable offence for Bents in the second half that changes the game when all he was doing was defending himself.

This ref books people for fun!  Just need to look at his stats for the season - regularly giving 5 or 6 cards at least per game!

The commentary that I am watching thought it was Fletcher who got the extra booking?

I thought was Williams

I would say we just shaded that half. Semenyo sooo frustrating, missed an excellent chance, then failed to control a lose ball just outside the 6 yard box, then did really well to get past 2 Stoke players into the box and failed to look up to pass to either Martin or Wiemann.

Bents one really good save.

The game is there to be won if we're braver in midfield. We've made some good turnovers and need to get the ball to Weimann, to drive forward. Semenyo had our best chances, blazing over when one on one, and failing to control from the rebound after Martin shot.

No, Bents had the chance to let go and didn’t. Both as bad as each other

Blimey - front 2 have got to do so much better.  Semenyo lacking sharpness, Martin has a couple of times run away from the ball / man in the press / block.

Cundy and Klose swapped over for 5-10 mins, don't know if on purpose or just transition and stayed there.

Williams and James improved as the half wore on, but Weimann needs to sometimes come short and join in with them especially when balls are with Scott and Dasilva, its stifling the space by him always wanting it forward, also means James and Williams have 3 on them.

Good save from Bents from Brown header, Martin a really good chance, saved.

When we get a good defensive shape, Stoke really don't have anything inventive.

It might help if we didn't give it away so cheaply around the edge of their penalty area when we are trying to attack.

Bentley / Brown, then Fletcher / Williams all got yellows.

Alex Scott giving Fletcher a nudge early on is what Mitrovic does unpunished every game, so if no foul by Mitro, then fine for Scott too. @GrahamC

First half reflections….repeatedly we had no passing options with no movement the only choice being to go square, play it back or lumping a long nothing ball. We are ponderous, deliberate, hesitant far too often when we have the ball. On the couple of occasions we found a bit of space Semenyeo was very poor either in his decision making or his execution. The booking of Williams on the cusp of half time is a big concern IMO as this ref loves a red card so Williams is now on very thin ice. AW and CM haven’t seen much of the ball.
