We keep playing in straight lines across the pitch. No one ( apart from Atkinson) running ahead if the ball i.e defence into midfield or midfield into attack.

Can't understand why Martin is running the channels and Semeny in the centre. Both would be more effective if they switch occasionally.

I wouldn't actively go looking to quote LJ, but on this occasion, Semenyos first half performance reminded me of the comments made about Kodjia. 

LJ pointed out that Kodjias lack of time spent in Academy football meant his footballing IQ wasn't where it should be.

Semenyo's first half performance seemed to replicate that for me. 

He has undoubted talent and I do believe he will go on to play in the Prem. But his awareness to what is going on around him needs to improve.

A bit of composure during that chance in the first half and it goes in, but instead he's decided to hit it as hard as possible.

Good save from Bents from Brown header, Martin a really good chance, saved.

Far too passive and turgid in midfield. 

Semenyo playing injured/not match fit is odd.

Stoke are us bad as us to fair though.

We do look better organised without the ball than the previous few games though, less good going forward.

It’s about the ball being within playing distance, just good defending though always a bit riskier when it’s the keeper
