Bedred31
Pep can’t seem to get a team set up properly for big, one off games. No way should City have lost to Chelsea last year. No way should they have lost to a RM who were behind between minute 4 of the first leg and minute 90 of the second leg. And how does a top top side concede 6 goals to this RM. cityexile
Imagine KdB watching on in the last 40 minutes or so from the bench. This City have never been as good defensively as they are playing on the front foot. Pep ‘let’s shore it up’ when he had no need to, and Stirling and Grealish added very little against a tired back line. Difficult to understand how City lost that over the two ties, but somehow they managed it. Ref was a complete homer as well. Shocking.

Tbf Grealish almost scored twice in a minute which kills the game, and any manager would’ve ‘shored it up’ with a 2 goal lead and not long left. agree not sure how they list it mind, and Casemiro’s non bookings?!!!

They've performed three miracles on the trot, surely they'll run out of luck at some point. Pressure for Pep on the Prem now, only trophy they can win, and he's yet again spent an absolute fortune. Undoubtedly, though Vini Jr could have Trent Alexander-Arnold for dinner

Robin-hugh-blind
Not sure what's gone on but if it was us I'd be fuming! Should be at least 5 added, got 3. Played 2:53 (in possession) . Ref and 4th official prepared to be quite clear on there support of anything non-english . Great tie. City should have won it in 90 and that's on them. But some suspect stuff at the end there. A free kick not given on sterling/grealish (one of them) also a real wonder. Fingers crossed for Liverpool as they now represent the best in England. City could understandably crumble in the league now

Anyhow, I think a real advantage Madrid now have is really they only have one major match to focus on, League is done for them. Liverpool clearly need to continue going full pelt until they meet. May even have impacted City tonight that every game for a while has been important. Don’t actually like one nation CL finals, but these two legs were a classic. Hopefully an unbent ref in the final as well.

Erm you still have to be lucky enough to be able to shell out £100m for a bit part player in the first place. You're not seriously trying to form an argument that Man City "haven't spent that much" are you? He has the highest wage bill in the Prem and has spent over £1bn. So, yes, he has spent an absolute fortune. And not delivered a CL trophy in six years.

They win European trophies too, and player for player, I believe they are better than Real. All Real's big successes this season have come at the Bernabeu, can they do it in Paris? Gonna be a a cracker but Liverpool favourites for me.

It's that sort of run where it almost seems fate. Man City went to pop when KDB was subbed and Walker injured.. at 2-1 they just resorted to long balls. You know with Liverpool that probably 9 players are already picked in that final with only Henderson/Keita and Jota/Diaz the questions.. baring injuries. Peps run in the CL with Man City must be questioned sooner or later, they routine seem to bottle it All it does will mean Man City will get stronger next season, they should have scored 10 goals in the 2 legs, Pep will be in front of the board today saying - ‘told you we should have bust our balls for Kane’
