Everything about it is inferior to mens football which is why I find it such a hard watch - the lack of pace, lack of quality on the ball, decision making etc makes it unwatchable for me. Find it far less enjoyable than let's say womens cricket or golf which I do sometimes have a watch of. Do you watch the Bristol City men's team?

What you mean is you don’t have interest in sport played by women, football isn’t a ladies sport, it’s a sport that can be played by men and women, as can all sports! Do you think Serena Williams is low quality at tennis?

So bored of people paying lip service to equality. The men would have been made MBEs the very next day. Not sure if winning the women's Euros is gong worthy. Yes, they have handed them out like confetti in the past - winning the Ashes being on example. But are the Lionesses deserving of further awards, I'm not so sure. The Red Roses for example have 2 world cups, 5 Euros and 18 Six Nations. Which is probably more impressive.

Might have on a bit of cricket or golf in the background. That's not a criticism of them, just my view.

If they have handed them out in the very recent past (literally in the last two years), for less than a Euros win, then they can hand them out now. I was one of the few who watched the 2009 game.I found it slow, boring with little skill and a naive approach, like watching an under 12 boys match. The difference to this year's tournament is astounding.I found the England games entertaining with a high skill level which I enjoyed.

I formerly had a job running football sessions for Bristol schools at a sport centre for boys because the schools had no facilities to play on. The schoools were going to take part in the EFL trust tournament. Many of the boys at ten and eleven had not played any organised football. I have also ran sesssion for kids with disabilities, who again had played no organised football. Point here is lack of opportunity is not restricted to one sex etc.

I cannot watch women's football. Good for them but I'm sick of hearing about it now People are shocked when I say this as I will travel the length of the country to see City.
shahanshahan
Belated apologies for the delay in this post. I'm physically recovered from the day; but not quite yet mentally or emotionally Like @phantom here are some photos I took from the day. Although the seats we had were a lot further away compared to other games; but still a fantastic view!

shahanshahan
I was due to return to Bristol on Monday afternoon; but after finding out of the Lionesses' victory celebration in Trafalgar Square, I booked a later coach back instead (I couldn't amend my booking). What a celebration! I also carried my suitcase with me as I had to check out of my hotel Monday morning...

shahanshahan
Fair play, going out on a high. Didn't see this coming. Was aware she was on an "extended break" while the rest of her Man City teammates returned. Best of luck to her in the future. I still remember when she came to Stoke Gifford in 2019 with a team that dominated against City, winning 5-0. Asked for a photo after the game & was so cool about it...
