This was a month before the image went viral claiming to be the Birmingham fan, but it wasn't. There was definitely a resemblance between the two though, so I understand why it went viral. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/8634492/football-fan-sliced-face-aston-villa/ (Clean your browser after following the link!)

Unless someone happened to start filming at that precise moment then it feels like the film starts and ends in a place that is meant to convey a very precise impression without showing enough for anyone to judge for themselves what happened.

Welcome to social media, the cesspit that takes as much as possible out of context for some sort of gain, whether that is personal or political. Shame every single video doesn't get questioned, but when it suits the agenda it seems to be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

What is it with people goading someone while filming it hoping to get a reaction? I just watched Patrick Vieira’s reaction when he was surrounded at Everton Fair play to Vieira, he’s gone right up in my estimation. He deserves a pat on the back.
