Excl: #sufc striker Oli McBurnie has been requested to attend a meeting with Nottinghamshire Police
after accusations that he stamped on a #nffc fan during pitch invasion.
If McBurnie doesn’t attend voluntarily he will be arrested. He’s professed his innocence on social media.

There is defending yourself and defending yourself with excessive force

And there’s having a go when it’s coming on top.
If he felt threatened and was putting it about a bit then good on him. People should be able to stand up for themselves.

Ahhh all mixed up but yea the pay back wasn’t so good

He didn't receive any payback,  The one you're thinking of was a Villa hooligan slashing the face of another from the same group who was trying to stand up for a coach driver.  This was a month before the image went viral claiming to be the Birmingham fan, but it wasn't.  There was definitely a resemblance between the two though, so I understand why it went viral.

Seeing it again it does look like he’s trying to run past and accidentally got caught up

I find the editing very suspicious. Unless someone happened to start filming at that precise moment then it feels like the film starts and ends in a place that is meant to convey a very precise impression without showing enough for anyone to judge for themselves what happened.

Welcome to social media, the cesspit that takes as much as possible out of context for some sort of gain, whether that is personal or political. Shame every single video doesn't get questioned, but when it suits the agenda it seems to be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

What is it with people goading someone while filming it hoping to get a reaction? I just watched Patrick Vieira’s reaction when he was surrounded at Everton
Fair play to Vieira, he’s gone right up in my estimation. He deserves a pat on the back.

Two Sheffield United players have been charged following violence at the Championship play-off semi-final against Nottingham Forest, according to the club.

Trouble flared after the Blades lost a penalty shoot-out at the City Ground.

Fans invaded the pitch at the end of the match on 17 May.

Sheffield United said Rhian Brewster and Oli McBurnie had been charged. Nottinghamshire Police have been approached for more details.
