basshead
Didn't realise that ex city centre half john mcphail had a fall in December and is still in a coma. Understand they are having a minutes applause at Wembley on 5 minutes tomorrow. Very sad news loved watching him play a no nonsense defender .Best wishes to the family 15
Davefevs
Jeez, that’s terrible. One of the best CBs I saw for City (relative to the league we were in). Hope he somehow pulls through.
Barry Sheene
Tight shorts and far to good looking to be a footballer if I remember correctly. Get well soon John

Offside
That’s horrible. He was a very classy centre back. Hope he gets through this.

Elruliri
He was only here for a season but what a great centre half he was. He could head a ball further than most players could kick it. A really classy defender who I wish we kept longer, he was a great servant for York and Sunderland.

His daughter said on Twitter that they're looking forward to the game and that her dad will be made up by the gesture. News about the seriousness of his injuries is scarce though.

So glad to hear he has made a recovery from his lowest point and is at least in a position to enjoy the game tomorrow, best wishes and that he makes a full recovery in the fullness of time, hope he realises the goodwill and gratitude from all of us here at Bristol city.
