PHILINFRANCE
I saw that Tom Banton didn’t play against SA. Does anybody know why not? I hope he isn’t injured.

Northern Red
They've released the ones who presumably won't be picked on Sunday - Brook, Parkinson, Salt. The original schedule had the India ODIs finishing yesterday so everyone would have been available, but then they had to fit the extra India Test in so everything got pushed back. PHILINFRANCE
The T20 Blast final has not been diminished in any way at all, it is just missing a few players. The semi-finals and final of the Blast are all staged on the same day but player availability has been limited this year by a clash with England's series against India. The third ODI takes place in Manchester on Sunday, barely 12 hours after the final is scheduled to finish in Birmingham. As a result, six players who have been involved in the series have effectively been ruled out of Finals Day: Jos Buttler, Liam Livingstone (both Lancashire), Craig Overton (Somerset), Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, and David Willey (all Yorkshire). I really don't see what the fuss is about . Edited July 15, 2022 by PHILINFRANCE

Super
Looking like a 200 run minimum pitch. Should be over a 1000 runs today.
Lanterne Rouge
Salt smashing them all over the park. And then edges one to the keeper. T20 eh?
ralphindevon
well Edgbaston won the day over Hone Park, I've managed to get a great seat in the Sky terrace almost directly behind the bowlers arm. Runs galore so far. COME ON SOMERSET
Northern Red
Do they use the same pitch for all 3 games?
Lrrr
Could be worth chasing, looks like 200 may not even be enough on this pitch the way Lancs are going, meaning if you can keep the team batting first down to 180/190 its very chasable even if you get off to a slow start
Northern Red
Apparently that was the first time both teams have made 200 in a Finals Day game. Be interesting to see how the scores go as the day goes on.

Northern Red
One bonus of Somerset signing Kohler-Cadmore that I hadn't conisdered is that he'll only be playing a maximum of one T20 against Lancs in a season. Gets runs against us every single time.

Lrrr
Ah we're back to Taunton being flat, last year it was that Taunton spun too much, year before it seamed too much.... if the pundits could make up their mind what Taunton is like that would be great

Lrrr
That no ball call is a ******* shambles, they're watching it passing the bat when the ball has actually hit him below the waist
