Exciting times. I never understood the doom and gloom and the “I’m not renewing my season ticket because I’m not enjoying it” sentiment. It’s the Championship FFS - a great division so what’s not to like; far better than being in league one (or worse). Plus we have an experienced manager who knows what he is doing at this level. We have some great young talent. We improved in the latter part of the season. Yes some of these signings are unproven at this level but this is the market we are in - and we will have beaten a lot of other clubs to Kane Wilson. On Twitter you can see Watford fans who are cheesed off that they missed out (despite the manager connection). I’d rather we were signing a young league two player of the season than an experienced championship has been or journeyman. I’m also pleased that we have prioritised the defence and done our business really early. Our club is in safe hands.

To me it’s a positive sign when they make a special mention about ‘the gaffer’ - I don’t remember any of GJs signings mentioning him at all..

Did you hear Twentyman’s programme with GJ on Monday and the clip of Bradley Orr saying such positive things about GJ?

Nah, IF we were to go up, I would prefer to do it in a playoff final with a last minute winner at Wembley in front of 30,000+ City fans

Obviously would prefer auto to losing a playoff final though.

Understandable that at our age we forget things that far back. ?

But in fact you only have to go back to 2019 when Tommy Rowe joined us and mentioned Gary Johnson as one of the reasons for doing so.

“They (Lee and Gary) share similar working trails which is good for me because I got on well with his Dad. I’m looking forward to coming here having seen what his Dad was like as a manager first hand”

Well done. Concrete evidence always shuts the troll down.

He still thinks we didn't have even 1 shot at goal in the play off final v Hull, despite being given a link to a video of the match and presented with the stats. All of a sudden no more replies or debate about it. I can't think why...:cool2:

I don't think crosses necessarily have to go on a player's head, Semenyo has the 'pace and power' to get in front of his man for crosses to feet, for example.
