Just now, And Its Smith said:

Put it this way, did Kane need to play his 57th game of the season tonight ?

That's the problem the other strikers aren't good enough. Agree he shouldn't be playing these games.

Wow 4

Not sure I can recall a worst result in my time - Lesser runs have cost England managers before - he’s lucky it’s too late to change before WC

No would be perfect.  But the FA haven’t got the bottle

I will say it again: Southgate is just a lucky “Shteeve” McClaren.

Is he getting the best out of these players? No. Even Harry Kane can’t dig him out of a hole at the moment.

4 games - no goals from open play. That’s the most damning statistic - along with 2 defeats to Hungary, a team who didn’t manage to qualify for the World Cup.

Appalling.

Every issue we had at City was reflected in that performance.

Complete absence of leaders on and off the pitch, no partnerships, no cohesion, no plan, no fight, negative and absolutely dire football.

Let’s hope they don’t come calling for Pearson to fix it.

As i said previously this must surely be the beginning of the end for Southgate. He peaked last summer for me and must go after qatar barring an absolute miracle.

I will just say though before the English public and press slaughter him that a fair bit of respect must be put on Southgates name  IMO. First manager to get us to a final since 66 and the first WC semi-final since 90 is not to be sniffed at.

Why on earth would they call for him? Unless I'm missing the joke.

The problem is that the only forward that we have playing in a top 4 Premier League team is Kane. And then we have the issue of making chances in the first place. This England team aren’t great at that either any more!
