I might try and do the journey via Barton on Humber train station and then across the bridge.

It’s a good 4-5 hour drive depending on traffic.

I used to drive regularly up to Bridlington which is just along the coast. It’s a long drive.

If you have a bit more time on your hands and want to save a little money, a more scenic and economical route would be to go via Leicester and Lincoln and pick up the M180 that way.

Go via train from Barton? I wouldn’t it’ll take you back towards Grimsby then you’ll have to go via Doncaster. I’m from North Lincolnshire is all where Barton & Scunthorpe are is all.

Unlikely as it might sound we went up a few years ago and stayed the weekend in an Air B&B near the marina. It was a cracking weekend and we’ll be doing it again.
