Will be very interesting to see how the new season unfolds for them over the next few weeks.

Their Turkish owner is promising 10 new signings before it starts & unlike Cardiff who look to be shopping at Aldi, it looks like a lot of players with decent CVs are arriving, mainly it has to be said, from Turkey or having played in Turkish football.

Ozan Tufan will be the first, 65 caps for his national side, had a short spell previously at Watford, cost Fenerbahce 7m Euros.

2 ways to look at this, there’s a month to go before the season starts & none of them are here yet, so high possibility they will need time to gel, but the impact of revitalising a club that was floundering under Allam might see them take off from the get go.

Another club with a much smaller fanbase that will get back to the Prem before us no doubt

Signing ten players, if they do, is one thing. Building a team is another.

Much depends also on who is actually doing the recruiting. Ask Mark Ashton, who signed around twenty last summer, after which Ipswich finished lower than the season before.

Sorry if I am missing the obvious, but why does a new owner give them the ability to spend, spend, spend?

Is there something in the transaction that counts towards FFP?

The answer is because they have build a tonne of FFP headroom over the last few years.

Hull rumoured to be losing Honeyman to Millwall.  I know they exercised his option, but he’s the heartbeat of their midfield.

Good signing, Millwall are certainly changing their approach a bit, broke their transfer record last week (still only £1.7m) for another midfielder too.

Hull are now being linked with Jean Seri, ex Fulham, who cost them £25m, definitely a complete transformation taking place up on Humberside.

Article on Rosetta this morning, saying he’s realised everyone is going back 3/5 so he’s having to tweak…Honeyman’s energy suggests he realised you can get bypassed in there without legs.

It's a shame you can't trade FFP headroom, like carbon credits. We could buy some off them!

Another slightly more realistic idea could be to carry forward and back headroom- profits- for example if you were within FFP by £10m to a given period, carry that profit or a portion of that profit forward to a period to give compliance- provided it doesn't tip that club into breach in a subsequent or prior period- hence why a portion of it rather than the whole thing.

Talking about profit but by this I am not including profits on sale of property or fixed assets- player sales only or operating.
