His other option was Forest Green Rovers, but chose Ross County over them as he was very impressed by Malky.

That’s interesting. Forest Green would have been a comfortable choice compared to Ross County. Although it’s a picturesque part of Scotland it’s a bit remote for a 21 year old on his own. He’s definitely not going there for the nightlife, which is a good sign.

Only just seen this, very interesting.

Can’t believe that his brother would have given FGR a glowing reference either, seeing as he barely featured for them last season & was then released.

For all the stick Scottish football gets, for a lad who was on loan at Colchester last season to get the opportunity to face Celtic, Rangers, the 2 Edinburgh clubs & Aberdeen is a very big step up for him.

Scottish football, especially top flight, is improving quickly.  It’s a really good move for Owura, they’ve signed Yan Dhanda (released by Swansea) too.

Ross County only just missed out on the European Conference qualifiers, that would have been an amazing experience for him. As it is, he should get the chance to play to play in front of some decent gates - Celtic (55K +), Rangers (45k+) and nearly 20k at Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen if they are having strong seasons.

The Scottish League Cup has started. Clubs are placed in pools of five and play a league format.

3 pts for a win, and 1 for a draw, but....drawn games then go to pens and the winning side get an extra point; yes, that's 2 for a "winning draw".

Ross were away to Buckie Thistle yesterday and came from behind to draw 1-1. Ross won 5-3 on pens.

No mention of our man on their site though, not even in squad photos; https://www.rosscountyfootballclub.co.uk/

On the BBC website it says he played 66 minutes and assisted for their goal. Unless they have another "Edwards"?

That’s him, he started.

Ross’ Twitter feed refers to him as Owura throughout.

They have made some reasonable signings for a small club at that level. Hiwula and Yan Dhanda for example.

Purrington too from Charlton.  They also have Josh Sims (ex-Southampton) and Dominic Samuel (ex-Reading, Blackburn).

Scottish football is on the up.  Standards are rising.

Don't tell you know who, let him pretend he is the 1st person to notice this in about 5 years time. :)

His second is meant to be outstanding.

Probably be some video around later but sounds like a cracker. .

Goal! Ross County 5, East Fife 0. Owura Edwards (Ross County) right footed shot from outside the box to the top right corner.
