westonred
A lot better once Wells Sykes and Wilson came on and ran at their defence didnt deserve the win but we did defend well and kept a clean sheet so happy days Quote Link to comment

cityexile
FT. Finished pretty strongly and Idehen crashed one off the crossbar. Minutes in legs, in fairness a fair few looked they needed it. Quote Link to comment
Red Army 75
3 clean sheets, no extra injuries. Kalas , Scott, Semenyo and Bajic to return . Pre season going well so far IMO Edited July 16, 2022 by Red Army 75 2 1 Quote Link to comment
Jerseybean
Three clean sheets, two wins and a draw, lots of players getting excellent pre-season match minutes. 1 Quote Link to comment
Lordofthebling
First time watching Wilson, he will obviously be good. We are going to be very reliant on Scott, bit agree we need a holding mid. Massengo and either James or Williams for me. Thought big Dunc looked good when he came on too. Thought their lb was decent first half too. Good to get the win, but still work to do. Popular Post GrahamC
So we kept our third clean sheet in 3, played without 2 of our best 4 central defenders, all 3 of our likely centre midfield & Antoine up top & some come on here on a beautiful afternoon just to relentlessly moan after a win. Ok then. 25 2 Quote Link to comment
Numero Uno
So a Carabao Cup standard City line up go and beat a Plymouth side that drew with Swansea the other night. Means the same in the bigger picture as if we had gone there and lost 1-0… Not on here though!! 1 Quote Link to comment

After offloading a couple of big names at the start of summer I was hoping we'd have a better campaign this year, but it looks like a few of the youngsters might have managed to make the step up. Early days though and a decent start might see them struggling to keep it up. We'll see! Edited July 16, 2022 by IAmNick 1 Quote Link to comment
DT The Optimist
As the staff have said, pre season friendlies are glorified training sessions, with competitive edge. Bonding, relationships on the pitch, fitness all these things and more. Win 3 0 or lose 3 0 do not take too much from result. Will NP and his staff really have learned a lot from these…. A necessary evil Quote Link to comment

You'd hope a full season of Klose would help too I suppose. Quote Link to comment
