AppyDAZE
Ungentlemanly. Free kick the other way.
AppyDAZE
Actually , looking again. I think he thinks he's ran it out of play.
Lanterne Rouge
Just now, AppyDAZE said: Ungentlemanly. Free kick the other way. I agree. What if the bloke picking the ball up had already been booked? Sent off for two yellows as you can`t say it wasn`t deliberate handball. Hopefully the ref would have shown some common sense though (!).
AppyDAZE
Or maybe not. bizarre
AppyDAZE
The lino is allowed to tell me the player it's still in. Naughty lino. Edited July 31, 2022 by AppyDAZE
cidercity1987
Presumably this is from a situation where one team was supposed to give the ball back to the other? Pretty sly if so and reminds me of Gunter v McAllister
TBW
I'm just confused as to what happened in the lead up? Why would the Leipzig player purposely give the ball away in the first place?

Sleepy1968
2 hours ago, AppyDAZE said: The lino is allowed to tell me the player it's still in. Naughty lino. When the lino thinks the ball is out he waves his flag appropriately and points it in the direction of the throw. As he's not doing this, surely it is clearly still in play. But you can see the defending player on the sideline getting treatment, so I agree this looks like it could fall under ungentlemanly conduct if the defending player thinks the ball is being put out of play for that. Pezo
9 hours ago, AppyDAZE said: The lino is allowed to tell me the player it's still in. Naughty lino. The linesman can only tell you it's in or out of play by waving the flag, anything else would be considered aiding and as such providing an unfair advantage. AppyDAZE
The bloke's still being a ****. Just play fair innit because lots and in lots of players would have picked it up for a throw in. Edited August 1, 2022 by AppyDAZE
redysteadygo
And I expect as normal the resultant free kick was taken miles from where the offence took place.
