Played For Both Clubs............

Recommended Posts

Time for a bit of fun.

This has probably been covered before, but in light of all the doom and gloom results wise I have been thinking of past players that have played for CITY and ROVERS...................

I will start the ball rolling with a few:-

Marcus Stewart

Jason Roberts

Peter Beadle

Keith Curle

Richard Dryden

Phil Kite

Lee Matthews

Donnie Gillies

Ray Cashley

Johnny Watkins

I think I know of around 13 more, but I am sure you folks will come up with loads more........................?

Also have a feeling that Gary Penrice may have played with us at youth level before being cut loose.

Tony Ford

Tony Ford was my driving instructor, nice guy. When you see him you wouldn't believe he played for City in the 60's, looks very young for his age. His son also played for Oxford but is now retired!

Can someone show me evidence that Terry Oldfield played for us. I've known him for over 20 years & he's never mentioned it, only goes on about some other team he turned out for.

I thought he was quite good, certainly better than anyone else we had in defence at the time.

his distribution is a bit poor, but when he goes to ground, he always gets the ball, and hardly ever gives a foul away!

shame he's not right in the head!
