Hi Guys.

First well done for landing Ivan, I have no doubt he will do a job for you and establish himself as a firm favourite. You can expect total commitment from him, sometimes a wee bit to much commitment :noexpression: Hope you have leinient refs down there, turned into a marked man with a lot of officials up here.

I suppose you have all heard of his pace. He is FAST. VERY FAST. You can look forward to some very suprised looking fullbacks next season. He can also turn players for fun. Final ball is lacking though and is very one footed. Has been used as an impact sub for a lot of his time at hibs as we have been lucky enough to have some better "technical" players at our disposal over recent years, however nobodys get the crowd going like Ivan can.

A real nice unpretentious guy of the pitch by all accounts, no big time charlie.

Will be missed up here, but a least he didn't go to either of Glasgow scum.

I hope he brings you as much happiness as he has brought us. Treat him well.

BTW what do reakon you paid for him? Our Chairman is a notriously hard barginer, what do you think is a realistic sum?

Thanks for your comments mate.

The one thing that we needed is pace as I think it's a bit lacking in our current squad. I'm just a bit concerned that other players won't see his runs and play him in.

What's your view of his socialising mentioned by other Hibs fans? I'd be surprised if Gary Johnson went for a party animal as he's trying (and by and large succeeded) in getting rid of the cosy drinking club culture that pervaded this club for many years whilst we stagnated in league 1.

Out of interest would the average Hibs fans be more gutted if he had gone to Hearts or to the Old firm?

I think that the £250k been bandied around by many is probably a bit short of the mark and I'd be surprised if we had paid less than £500k.

No probs man.

I'n my view a nice strong target man is a good foil for Ivan, Chris Killen who is slower than than a week in jail scored a good few with Ivan as feeder.

Please bear in mind he is not the best crosser of the ball so will often take it into the box and attempt shots or cutbacks so strikers making runs ahead of him doesn't happen often.

Pish-head allegdley :innocent06: All sorts off rumours regarding fall out with tea total fitness guru Johnny C. Poss. reason for being moved on? Dunno.

Whatever reason he must be doing something right, you won't doubt his fitness thats for sure.

I would imagine if Sproule had went to HOMFC I would at this moment I would be organising the building of a huge whicker man and ordering in a bumper supply of petrol. We are only to used to the ugly sisters of the west stealing our best players unfortunatly.

Over the last couple of years hibs have slashed the debt we were mired with and have produced alot of talented players who we have sold for some very decent money, I would be suprised if we let Ivan go on the cheap. I would think 500k, if it was any less then the lads fallen out of favour with the managment more than i thought.

Did I say he was fast? ;)

Two question:

  1. Is he right footed?
  2. Is he a right winger?

I ask this because his replacement seems a proper flying left winger. Ironic that is what we really needed.

Still, great signing.

Right footed right winger. Left foot nonexistent. We have a couple of players for the right side of midfield so a natural lefty would fit into our team well.

I think we've got him on the cheap. £250'000,which isnt bad when you consider you only paid 5k for him.

Welcome Ivan. :englandsmile4wf:

We got Jamie McCombe for £5k. Would you mind seeing him leave for £250,000?

Couple of comments from your senior poster.

GJ is a comic genius. Two N.Ireland lads in the team, Sproule and Keogh. Can you imagine them both mouthing off at the same time ? God you couldn't make it up, brilliant !

Oh, and if ones orange and the other green, cover your ears, a whole new entertainment for us.

SL and GJ are on record as saying that the players we buy will be better than what we have. Betsy and Murray, take note, we are told that Sproule is right footed and certainly not here for the bench.

Sounds like he could be a similar player to what Scott Murray was a few years back. If that's the case then brilliant! Just hope the other teams don't figure him out to quickly and stick two men on him as they did with Scott.

Keogh represents the Republic of Ireland (England Reject team), Sproule plays for N.Ireland.
