  1. The way you behave on here, I’d say that you’re one of them. You're a father as well……
  2. This account dates back to September 2013, but I was posting on here under a different user name as far back as the 2003-04 season. I can remember the meltdown on here as we collapsed dramatically from four points clear at the top to playoff final losers. I also had an account on the rivals.net network from around 2001.
  3. Well I don’t think anybody anywhere expected that to happen. One win in ten Crewe, turning around a two goal defecit against unstoppable eleven wins in twelve Doncaster. Extraordinary. Imagine not loving football …
  4. On paper, 7th in a what’s probably been the most competitive Championship for a while (four teams with a really high points total, and 50 points sending you down) is a decent finish for a non parachute payment club. I’d have certainly given him another year to get it right and I expect Hull would have likely been top six next year under Rosenior. It’s hard to see the true picture without watching a team week in week out though. Certainly against us, they were leading in both games but ended up taking just a point from the two fixtures. At Ashton Gate in particular, they capitulated. Maybe their board felt his team lacked the backbone to see out those kind of games?
  5. They seem be be a good addition to the football league. Reasonable crowds in a good catchment area and I like the look of their stadium… old school with a terrace, surrounded by trees. Wouldn’t mind a trip there in the league cup (although we’d probably lose).
  6. A gashead scholar shares his views on his teams performance this season and their prospects for next year.
  7. Was more referring to this and the Emojis used. I’d expect it from the likes of Chippenham Red, but disappointed to see other confused and laughing emojis instead of supportive ones.
  8. And yet no matter how people might spin it, this is our sixth most successful season (league position wise) in the last 40 years. Serial under achievers for sure, but we have progresssed year on year. Really? I certainly wasn’t. I can’t remember the last time I felt optimistic going into a new season. 2019 perhaps, when Mark Ashton was running riot, and we were signing Monaco wonder kids and the like.
  9. Just like Brum, they’ve been flirting with the drop for a few years. Only a matter of time before their luck runs out I reckon.

A random statistic but interesting nonetheless. They’re in a pretty similar position to us overall, treading water, relying on selling their best players and suffering from a pretty horrid to watch brand of football. Neither team are going anywhere fast.
  11. For me, the Mount Rushmore of horrible fans in this league are Leeds, Stoke, Birmingham and Cardiff. One of them went down, one of them missed automatic promotion and another got battered. Honestly, the day could have been worse…. Stoke should hopefully be the ones to finally drop next year.
  12. After hearing the news of Pearson leaving, we’d have all been delighted if someone told us we’d finish 11th, with a positive goal difference and a cup giant killing. It’s a shame that today has put a massive dampener on what has otherwise been a solid end to the season, but that’s human nature I guess.
  13. Looks like we’re finishing above Cardiff at least !
