redrob
At the Q&A GJ spoke of links with Arsenal and Chelsea. He sppoke about Michael Mancienne being in Marriotts until Big Phil called him back. (Incidently, did we go back for him?) However, Arsenal and Chelsea must have some young players that could do with regular football. Carlos Vela/Aaron Ramsey/Jay Simpson all spring to mind. They have countless others. Was even talk of Walcott at one poinit last year remeber and look where he has ended up. What about Man Utd. Sir Alex agreed to letting us have Frazer Campbell before what about Manucho? And what about the young players at Chelsea? MM gone to wolves, Palace been told that until Chelsea get past next registration phase for Champions League Sinclair is staying as he is in that squad. Must have other players? Anyone else think we are in desperate need of a little confidence onjection from high profile young loanee from one of these clubs. Only questions not criticisms.... Bristoliain
I'm not sure that Arse-ne will let the higher profile youngsters out ( Ramsey, Wilshere Vela etc) but players like Fran Merida, Mark Randell, Gavin Hoyte etc are realistic targets for loan. Merida would be useful.. as would Hoyte as can play anywhere across back four according to Arsenal website
Bristoliain
Hoyte has gone on record saying that a loan move to a championship club would be good for him.
Bris Red
Hoyte has gone on record saying that a loan move to a championship club would be good for him. We could deffinetly do with a winger with pace that can cross, don't think the defence is the area to be bringing in young inexperienced players like Hoyte. Guest Eamer
Hoyte and Merida have been mentioned in another thread also. These are the types we need to be looking at if we're looking at getting loan players.
iWurzel
At the end of the day if we have links with these clubs we should be looking to get the most out of them. None of us knew about the Mancienne and Campbell stories so it just goes to show that just because it's all quiet on the OS doesn't mean that things aren't happening. I imagine there's a whole lot more that we don't know, and that if every enquiry we ever made was reported there would be new stories every day.
