Boxing Kangaroo
Collingwood for me. Both players have their pro's and con's though...Anderson -For : played in many test matches and most importantly against the Aussies in tests, playing him would keep the format of the team and batting order the same.Against : been in poor from on the county circuit this season, not played a test since the South Africa series and was very poor in that.Collingwood - For : played well against the Convicts earlier in the summer in the ODI's and was very productive with both bat and ball, also has a great fielding ability (witness his catch at Bristol in the Natwest Series) which has been a weakness at times for England, been in good county form with the bat.Against : very limited test experience, do we change the batting order to accomodate him and thus disrupt the playing partnerships that have developed. tinman-is-god
Collingwood for sure. Don't like Anderson, think he is over-rated, and Collingwood is a very competant all rounder.
Northern Red
I'd go for Anderson, as playing Collingwood would only be supporting the idea that we're playing for a draw. The Oval pitch is likely to be flat, and Anderson would be more likely to take wickets. Five bowlers has done the job for us in the series so far, and it shouldn't change now.
