  1. Agreed. Any Bristol City player that supercedes the club in terms of the level and standard we are at, will naturally look for a move up, which is what I expect to happen with Tommy at some point. I'm not quite sure if a move to either Rangers or Celtic will be the best option at this time, but it will aid his ambitions to become a regular squad player for the scotland team. The rant by @bcfc31 that TC is/will turn his back on us is just another example of our fans frustration that we are unable to keep our better players. How many times have we said this over the last 30 odd years. I wish TC all the best. I'm not sure he's ready for the Prem but if he does get called up for the Euro's and gets some game time and performs well, that will open up more opportunities for him.
  2. I'm not defending this, but Conway is likely to leave us so arguably it's a fair statement

  4. Interesting post. Like most of us, we were all on Nigel's bus and disappointed to see him leave in ridiculous circumstances and excuses from the hierarchy. Good to hear he 'Rates Liam'... How did this meeting happen...

I thought he was referring to James being nervous...not King
  6. Good point. Playing with lesser players though has hindered his dream.
  7. He will do a Vince Harper....drop down to National League South and an EFL club will soon come in for him imo. I hope so anyway. I rate him as did Mr Pearson.
  8. I am really surprised about Harry. I have followed him as I report on the 21's as well. In less than a year, his Bristol City dream has collapsed. Travelled with the 1st team on last year's preseason tour...

Cleverly written. Most of us would agree that it would be very valuable to keep a League 1, Championship and Premier League winner in the building as a coach... Not at Bristol City it would appear... Let's hope they do a u-turn on this over the summer but can't see it happening.
  10. I believe Leeson and Zac Bell are also at the end of their contract. Both were highly rated but it's looking like they have not made the grade to push on with us. Hope they mirror what Vince Harper achieved, he dropped to National League South and then reignited his EFL career.
  11. Be interesting to see where Idehen and Kadji end up considering they have made a handful of senior appearances between them...
  12. Whilst I was very impressed with his 27 minutes performance, it's really difficult to judge whether Manning would include him in next season's 1st team squad. U21 football is what it is and City and Charlton have both struggled with results this season. Some will say that results don't matter, it is a 'development league'. However, the jump from U21 to Champ is huge as we know. Not everyone is an Alex Scott unfortunately. The personnel and make up of our u21 squad will look very different next season with a lot of players being released soon and u18 players stepping in. It's going to be very interesting to follow the pathway of Murphy and the U18's stepping up. I called it a few weeks back that Forest Green may look at some of our u21 released players or even those players staying, who maybe loaned out next season. Ping! - Cotts was at the gate yesterday, so it will be interesting to see if anything happens on that front.
  13. Piercy and myself were quite impressed today. Read more... https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/adam-murphy-bristol-city-first-9270085
  14. That may be down to the 'head coach' and too much time on the grass. God forbid, don't give the players time off in the international break....
