I think the Argies lost a few as well...and we didn't need to lose anyone, there was a diplomatic solution in progress, but Thatcher wanted the war to boost her popularity. At the time, almost no-one knew where the Falklands were.

According to someone in the RAF that I used to know who was posted there, the locals in the Falklands hate the military who are there, and treat them like crap. Frankly, I think the Argentinians are welcome to the pointless rocks, and their ungrateful inhabitants. We'll take the saving on defence spending.

Stopped 2 others brilliantly, swings & roundabouts..

Not really. Looked uncomfortable all match and made two saves you’d expect a Championship keeper to make at this level. Swings and roundabouts maybe, but he was poor…again…

Absolutely bollocks as per usual but some fans seem to think they know the best for the club and were happy to see us sack a manager that just missed off on the playoffs each season.  Oh well, we are a small club and always will be.

Loyal Red you say? Sort yourself out lad.  Talk about wet blankets…you optimise one!

I live in Bedford, which is about 20 mins ( on a good day), from the stadium. It really pains me to say it, given the history of ‘the franchise’, but they are pretty much everything you want a local club to be. Stadium is obviously excellent but season tickets are dirt cheap. My son (whose 23) and his mates bought season tickets pre season for £125 a pop, so they can afford to go when they feel like watching some footy ( they all support and watch other clubs). Great community involvement and presence.  Local schools get lots of attention. Local talent really well developed. No one here as a bad word. Bugger.

Expect you would hear similar from many in the Bristol area. But you won't hear that on here. £50 for a kids season ticket? Hopefully they will become City fans rather supporting (and watching - WTF?) other clubs as you say. Any stick to beat the club with I suppose?

P.S. My condolences to you for living in Bedford (and more importantly, having a son who 'pays' to watch MK Dons).

Always been my understanding that SL really doesn't like him, so for that reason I think it's unlikely he'll be at AG anytime soon.

And therein lies the reason why this football club will never amount to anything under his stewardship.

  6. Blimey. Only at City! Ultimately, I feel a little for the Club hierarchy  - what else can they do? Crap after crap no matter what they do.

I am so sorry NP is unwell but he has had COVID twice and now is unwell for who knows how long.  You cannot have the head guy missing so often when running a professional football club. Alarm bells rang when they said he wasn’t attending the Coventry game - and as a manager, you don’t miss games because of a cold so it must be something more serious and long-term.

Reading between the lines, I reckon the club have said to NP to take the next two weeks to get better. They have left the door open but if the illnesses persist, then they will have to move on. Ultimately, they are giving NP every chance but cannot put up with it for ever - and quite rightly so given the results returned thus far.

Thanks for that description of me, shows a distinct lack of intelligence by name calling but whatever floats your boat. We're utter sh1te and, unless something changes, we will be in L1 next season. I don't think for one second that we would be if Warnock came on a short term deal.

My apologies. Misinterpreted what you said.

**** him in the eye, not ever from me.

Thank god! That’s not where it’s meant to go. For a start, there just isn’t the space…no matter how small you might be!

  9. Warnock is a perfect fit for this football club. Should have been appointed many years ago mind. But, but, but, because we’ve had some run-ins with him in the past, and Lansdown is a neomaniac, whom is blinded by his own self-ego, he will never be appointed under the current ownership.

  10. Bentley, Kalas and Weimann…if you didn’t know who I was referring to.

Bentley - besides the odd good save, is an outright liability. Stop punching and catch the ball from corners for a start! And, Captain, oh do **** off! Couldn’t lead a blind man across the road let alone a professional football team.

Kalas - gets praised continually for defending and being good at heading? WTF! Well, doh…that’s his job and he isn’t great at it. Central to why we concede so many goals - but we can’t mention that…because he, well, puts his body on the line…

Weimann…what can I say? Weimann Runs around a lot. And I mean a lot. Scores a goal every so often but offers nothing else. Has no footballing brain whatsoever.

    Tin hat on firmly..
