  1. I did not for one minute say that it was. Nor did I suggest any qualitative assessment of good or bad, as you put it. I merely pointed out that as thing stand it seems feasible for any banned user to use GDPR (invoke) and start again with impunity. Likewise, any of the rest of us could erase our past comments should we so choose and come back with no history of our prior comments/positions, etc. As things stand, these appear to be the facts, without a specific policy being stated to address such things. I'll leave it there for now, unless a moderator wishes to chip in with any actual policy position or update. I do feel that whatever the wider issues, it really is not in the spirit of a forum to erase one's past. Just my opinion, for what it is worth.
  2. Why not politely request that it be moved to General Chat if it irks so much?
  3. Thank you for your experience of this. However, what you set forth would equally allow banned users to invoke GDPR, erase their misdemeanours and start again, would it not? Just to reiterate, once again, this is not personal. I'm exploring the reality of data and the management thereof as it relates to this forum. Theoretically, we could all invoke a clean break, if so inclined.
  4. Depends what slant you take. Mine is not personal, just a request for clarity. Whether specific accusations and denials have validity is another matter. The issue itself is certainly worthy of discussion and clarification.
  5. Agreed if someone requests removal of their data. Whether we disagree with each other or not, I do think it is in the spirit of a forum to own your opinions and defend them. Change them even, if so inclined. Be respectful as much as possible. Apologise and mean it if you cross a line. Whatever the circumstance, do not abuse the privilege.
  6. Thank you Ian, apologies if I came over a little blunt in my response. No malice intended.
  7. Dear Ian, I'm not sure why you take umbrage by the subsequent questions posed. I do think this is a serious subject and I did politely ask who might be able to confirm as you have outlined the reasons why you can't do so. I don't think that unreasonable nor impolitely posed.
  8. I don't find this particularly amusing. Who can confirm this please?
  9. Thank you Ian, but to the specifics, It is suggested that a certain poster put in a GDPR request to have data removed then came back under a new guise. Is that not true then?
  10. I know such data is pricey, by the way, but we have posters who appear to be inside the game or have access to such things (and I'm not pointing the finger of conspiracy here either, I mean contributors of long standing)
  11. A certain amount of statement and inference this week about fitness and training. A certain amount of lively debate about what we saw yesterday. As an aside, do any of the statto anoraks have any data for distances run by player or overall distance relative to other performances this season? Don't want to start another descent into bickering, it would just be interesting to know. Evidently, style of play from here on may counterpoise such things in the future should a possession game / style unfold. I suspect not, however.
  12. Why? Should be an answer open to all.
  13. If it is true, then any prior history should be reinstated and the former guise made known (at the very least if law prohibits the former). Either you want in and consent or you do not.
  14. Out of genuine interest, is it permissible to have one's OTIB history erased and then return in a new guise, as inferred herein? I can't really see how that is in the spirit of that which transpires here, if true.
  15. Replacements were not in the remit. This squad is good enough. That is the message from on high.
