What a way to treat the goalkeepers. Gets Shae in from America, plays several games and does little wrong, gets dropped for Liv Clark (who herself had played consistently well for City and Wales before getting replaced) for the biggest game of the season against Brighton. Shae gets put back in for one game, again does little wrong, and is now dropped for Fran, who presumably won't want to stick around when we get relegated. Crazy selection process.

Tooze sacked as manager but still intending to play

Not able to watch today. How did the new keeper do? Can’t see why Clark deserved to be dropped tbh

Goal and MOTM for James Taylor for Yate last night, also goals for both the ex-Taunton lads, all three making their home debuts for the club!

I’ll be at Yate Tuesday (providing it survives) so will be able to see how Taylor pans out. The striker was hugely needed as the Bluebells do have an aversion to scoring…
Think McCootie suspended for tomorrow but not sure about Tuesday. Sent off at Yeovil on Boxing Day

Ta for the info, hadn’t realised he was playing for Truro.
He’s a strange one for me, never shone, never played badly…a steady Eddie for me. Although I thought he had his best games for us in the Coventry PDL final when he swapped positions with Wood, and the pre-season game he played for the first team. Maybe he rose to the occasion?
Steady Eddie is quite a good description but I do feel he always gave it everything. I think, but am not sure, that he was full-time at Truro but after an injury has failed to get regular game time. Really should be shining at this level though.
Other City-related news is that Callum Hutton has returned after his Yate loan spell. Did well and tried really hard, only negative was a number of missed chances.

Ex-City academy full back James Taylor has joined Yate, always impressed when playing for City U23s, got to be a good signing and also better for him not travelling to Truro all the time!
Also signed two Taunton lads as the exodus from there gathers pace.

Liv Clarke is a vg shot stopper and it was a top notch save, BUT she is so weak when it comes to dealing with high crosses. Their goal was a high cross inside the 6 yard box and she was just rooted to the line, hoping our defenders win it. She did that on another couple of corners too, but thankfully didn't cost us. IF she could learn to come and claim, or even punch out, those sort of crosses she would be a top keeper.
Overall though an unexpected point against a Liverpool side who were 5th in the table. Easily best performance of the season to date, Syme made a big difference and should keep her place even if/when Jones is fit to return.
If you watch the goal carefully it wasn't even Clark's ball to come for. It was falling straight on Connolly's head for a free-header clearance but she seemed to mistime her jump and missed it completely. For Clark to come and claim that ball she would've had to have wiped out Connolly to do so which would've just been reckless.

Tooze deal has fallen through, now staying at Yate for the time being..
Think he might be going back to Paulton

Five clean sheets for the Under 18s to start the season, not sure if Joe has played them all but very promising start for the U18s anyway https://uk.soccerway.com/teams/england/bristol-city-fc-under-18-academy/19775/

A young City team also played last night against Larkhall, boys came back from 3 down to get a 3-3 draw

It's an U21 side, opponents are very young also

Paulton equalised in injury time with a goal straight in from a corner. Off to the replay on Wed night.
1-0 Paulton at half-time ️

Are there still games on the red button?
Every time I have looked for ours this season there appears to be none showing.........not for recording at least.

Tomorrow's game is recordable (at least on Sky Q)
On the TV Guide highlight Reading v Sunderland on 401 or 403 and press Select
Go down and across to highlight "On this week"
Go down and choose which game to record.

Still a good listen imo, it's not healthy if you can't listen to people you disagree with for different angles.
Just sort Mark's mic out though please as I can't hear a word he says
Still can't hear him? That's me giving it a miss this week then. Again

Coventry's site has the whole game up and it only says register instead of subscribe so I suppose anyone could view it if they want.

It;s the variation in audio volume that bugs me........one contributor will be so quiet that i have to turn up the volume, and then it switches to Dave, and he blasts my eardrums, so i then turn the volume down......and so it goes on Ha!! Good podcast, but please sort out your microphones?
Spot on. Plus the constant talking over one another is annoying. Still enjoy listening though and hope the 3 podcasts continue for a long while yet.

At lunchtime today there were 8 available and a solitary one popped up yesterday as well so definitely worth checking in from time to time. Maybe more near the end of next week as people test positive and can't go.

Over the last few months there have been a number of people on Sky Community complaining that the facility to record red button games has been taken away - there is no solution as yet. Very frustrating.

It's been ridiculous. With none of them doing badly at all. Serve Smith right if they all cleared off to better clubs.
