Oh we are losing to QPR on Saturday. As we are Bristol City.

    100%

Walking out last night, little un started to talk about play-offs etc, I looked at him and said “ We’ll lose Saturday, it’s what we do.”

It’s the hope that kills you, he’ll learn though.

  2. Ticket arrived Tuesday, can’t wait so much good stuff to try and see on those posters.
Fancy I’ll be splitting my time between Arcadia, The Glade, West Holts & The Park….
4 weeks today and I’ll be immersed in my favourite place on earth in my Glasto bubble.

I appreciate I’m on a forum about a club I dearly love, but does anyone else feel like I do, in that I really couldn’t give a **** about this season.

If the new season starts in August, fine. If not, I don’t really care.

Completely agree with you, a season for me is all about the momentum of a season, the highs & lows and hoping you have something to play for at the end.
This season stopped so long ago it would feel like a promotional mini tour, almost like a pre-season but without the fans, just think it would be sterile.

    Could you elaborate?

I guess one big issue will be when the likes of Leeds win promotion and Liverpool the title it will be inevitable that tens of thousands of fans will take to the streets celebrating. It would be impossible to police. So long as that risk is there, then football - even behind closed doors - is probably a bad idea.

One of a few articles I’ve read in the link below https://www.si.com/mlb/2020/04/10/sports-arent-coming-back-soon

It just doesn’t seem workable to me.
Like I said I’m hope I’m wrong, I’m missing football and sport in general as much as the next person.

  5. Strange, I couldn’t care less  if it’s finished or not.

I think a football season is all about momentum, hopefully leading to the excitement of promotion or play-offs.

Even if you’re in a relegation fight, the ups and downs leading to staying up are exciting.

This season has, for me anyway, lost all momentum.

    It’s like it’s never happened.

I don't think the 'essential / non essential' phrase was actually used in relation to the workplace Winterbourne. Didn't Boris say travel to work was currently allowed unless you can work from home? All very ambiguous but I'm pretty sure we'll be in total lockdown very soon anyway.

My employer has just issued us all with a 'key worker' document, countersigned by some NHS bigwig so we can keep working. If the NHS are issuing these now, I would imagine they know something we don't and full lockdown is close.

As for the 80% thing, I would guess it's down to the employer to pay employees 80% and then apply for recompense from the government but that's purely a guess.

    Stay safe everyone.

    Thanks for the reply,

Maybe something will be done in today’s update.

    Stay safe everyone

  7. Bit of advice please fellow reds,

I really don’t want to be in work and I would classify mine as non-essential.

Unfortunately my employer doesn’t see it the same and is asking us to continue working, we are all PAYE so he/wewould be entitled to the 80% wage help if we were sent home or at least I think he is.

My question is, do I need him to send us home before we are entitled to it?
The way I see it is unless we’re sent home we can’t claim it.

Hope you’re all well, stay safe!

Some people need to give their heads a wobble! How people can be calling for LJs head after the season we’ve had. If anyone would of been anything short of delighted with a top half finish after last season, they are lying!

Luckily the powers that be are more clued up than the minority on here.

There are posters who are desperate for LJ to fail and have been since he was appointed. They'll jump on anything slightly negative.

This really is hilarious on here.

Frustrating, yes, but seriously... Not the end of the world.

We are in the play offs, we've had an unbelievable cup run. We all want promotion,  but one step at a time.

The club are moving forward, Johnson is still very young and I'm sure will admit himself still has areas where he needs to improve.

A lot of the management aspects will only come through experience.

    Chill the **** out

    This.

There are some serious OTT reactions on here. It's comical.

The desperation from certain people for LJ to fail is quite sad.
