Will the team get parachute payments?

Went with my girls, been to a few games,  atmosphere is very different, much more friendly vibe, but feels a bit like a pop concert at times, but for the youngsters in the crowd it seemed to get them going.

Will probably get a season ticket as they are great value really for a nice day out & to support the club in a different way. Hopefully they back the team certainly brings more people out when some of the big name players are coming to town.

Actually prefer the female announcer to Downsy too, seems pretty knowledgeable. 

Really wish I could remember the interview where Tinnion implied there was a gentleman’s agreement to sign him even though not part of the loan contract. Guess we’ll know soon enough if they back Liam, as one of his first signings can’t deny results have been pretty positive when he’s played. Not sure what’s happened with Mebude though, almost polar opposite, it’s so us though if he goes somewhere & does a Bolasie though!

Reckon results with Twine in the team have been pretty strong even when he hasn’t been as good, but he was great today.

I really haven’t seen anything from Twine that says it’s his inclusion in the team that has had any responsibility for the recent results.  Normally I’d be able to highlight areas where I thought his clever movement, or passing or whatever was contributory.  If anything I think his giving away of the ball has made it tougher for us!  He’s not even taking all the set-pieces?

But I guess he’s got 3 more games to show what he can do.

I'm gonna have to try and find it now, think it was a soundbite from Tinnion on the radio after the close of the window. A comment in passing that there is almost a gentleman's agreement even though it's not in writing - which of course means nothing  however, if there is, that is possibly a good thing as it does not commit us to a set fee like Mebude has (somewhere in the £1.x million region I think?!)

Seems to help have been better results when he’s been in the side, could just be coincidence. Normally a loan like this would impress, we’d spend loads and they’d flop, this is not quite the opposite but something that could happen if settled.

Price is high, but if a deal could be done like Tinnion suggested there was some sort of non contractual agreement (I know :laugh:) for a lower fee than quoted it’s deffo worth exploring as they won’t wanna keep an unhappy player, I wonder how many other championship teams would take him? For Hull when we played them his name on the team sheet just stood out & maybe he does that for us even if performance has been varied.

There is probably better value out there for sure like the chap at Huddersfield If they go down, but he’ll maybe do better once settled be that with us or elsewhere.

How was he today? Worth trying to push for a deal? Forget where but Tinnion (I know ) mentioned there may be an unofficial agreement to sign him from Burnley.

Great story, with the recent threads thought this one was that she'd been approached to take over from Tinnion.

I’d take it but only If he came in til the end of the season whilst a complete overhaul of roles / structure is worked on. 

Yeah I don’t think it’ll be anywhere near 8 games, there’s a rot already in place getting worse, massive humble pie needing to be consumed.

If they come out & admit they got this structure wrong it would massively save face & really should be happening now.

What a great episode. Was there similar ones for Holden etc when GT was hosting? They seem spot on with a large portion of the feelings on here of frustration, unless there’s a huge turnaround the writing feels like it’s on the wall already. 

Worryingly there's threads like this each time before the next re-shuffle almost identical. For someone so successful, they've made some very expensive mistakes ironically going for the cheaper option in the short-term.

Thing is we sort of were on the right track. The appointment of Pearson took me by surprise as it finally felt like they wanted to go for it with a ceo alongside, it seemed like there was just an acceptance in the fan base that Nige had taken on a real pile of muck & was working his way through it as we could see progression, with someone that just spoke common sense, building a great team spirit & getting rid of the time wasters. It may have taken 3 Years, 5 Years etc but Manning isn’t Ranieri & all of the hard work has been undone.

I just don’t get why SL doesn’t think, “I’m not getting any younger, you can’t take this (money) with you” & just go for it or let someone have a go that can rather than keep making mistakes over and over. Create a legacy, stop taking the cheap options that stroke the ego, get some decent folks in & let them cook.

The irony is the guy that would take almost any job in the world, would prob turn down working for this lot 

Maybe it’s all a bit Cosy - perhaps Cisse, Mountain, maybe even Murray should go. Big clear out, freshen stuff up a bit / new ideas approaches. 

A bring back Nige chant at home would really be a punt in the nuts to the ones that put us in this mess.

Wonder if Pearson is still living in the area. Lansdowns would get a lot of respect if they held their hands up and admitted this isn’t working, they won’t though! Wonder if NP would enjoy telling them to do one or if he’d be tempted.
