  1. yes but their stable owner might be better…
  2. well it's not Spoons or The Old Duke…
  3. it's a forum, it's like chatting down the pub.
  4. hmm. Interesting. Some people's reservations might be on the right track then.
  5. problem is, I don't live in Bristol anymore
  6. I haven't actually ever been, always booked up!
  7. They’re still miles away the commercial value of the men. If the winnings comes from revenue and prize money, then there’s a massive gulf. Perhaps they all get paid a nominal amount for playing in the tournament representing their country?
  8. There has been long debate in US about equal pay, and a lawyer on YouTube has gone through all the legal documents about how the national teams are paid. They are just paid differently… plus then someone in the comments pointed out that most national teams, especially in Europe, donate their pay anyway as they see it as an honour to play for their country, and earn much more from club level anyway
  9. Yes…going to put the topic on ignore, bye
  10. Yes they might be demanding action but that doesn’t mean they’ve thought it through. How would you legislate that? ?
  11. Even men don’t get equal pay to other men?
  12. I was thinking pressure would come from the media. And people who don’t watch football
  13. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001p471 Had an email this morning: The Hidden World of Hospitality with Tom Kerridge After several weeks of keeping it under wraps we are so excited to announce that The Pony Chew Valley will feature on the BBC TWO program "The Hidden World of Hospitality with Tom Kerridge" this Thursday August 17th at 8PM.
  14. Never feel embarrassed about calling for help. Please don’t judge your situation by other people’s (I know we all do it) but sometimes we all need a bit of help/reassurance. ?
  15. I thought it might be but couldn't for the life of me remember what they were!
  16. gawd, I'd forgotten about them
  17. It also demonstrates how easy it is to get wrong. It's not just the fans' opinion on the bird logo that is the issue but the actual design details of the shirt and the size of placement of logos etc. I don't know who made those decisions, if it was just someone at O'Neills working up the design on screen and sending a PDF to the club for approval…and someone saying "yeah, that'll do". These things take a lot more work and time. That's why a lot of the companies produce templates.
  18. nip it in the bud, I'd say. Get a new supplier ready for next season. Plus, get someone who knows design/football/the club to advise…
  19. I took that with a pinch of salt, of course we're not. I think some people take everything too literally. I think he just means damage limitation. Perhaps having a nest egg makes the club more preferable if he puts it up for sale…
  20. Difficult to judge on that clip but I don't think he's going to get rid of Nige or the coaching set up. I think he's just saying we're going to be more careful (not boom and bust)
  21. that's a bit too vague though isn't it… in what regard ? To competing with clubs who have parachute payments? Not flouting FFP? Wages? Buying more expensive players? It could mean a lot of things…
