  1. Don’t post that often here but am a frequent reader, thought I’d share my thoughts as what I’d considered a balanced City fan.

For context my first season ticket was in the Danny Wilson days at 10 years old, I had become accustomed to different styles of football since then, yielding different results and a whole array of new and “improved” agendas.

To focus on our more recent history, we have had a turbulent few years where we experienced some highs and lows since being back in the championship, which under mr Pearson I had felt was trending in the right direction. I had awaited each pre match interview always excited with what Nige had to say. Arriving to each match with Nige at the helm I felt we were in safe hands and knew that all players were going to give us 100% each game and play to our strengths wherever we could.

As much as I think Liam is a likeable, tactical and potentially progressive head coach, I’m unsure this fit is what we’ve needed to achieve the next level. I feel all previous optimism has completely diminished for me, the whole team play with a different personality and for the first time in a fair few years I don’t feel at one with our club. I’m struggling to look forward to our games currently and feel something has to give with the hierarchy, I’m always going to love our club but hope it’s not just me who’s in a currently disillusioned state!

It couldn't be us, could it?

BristolWorld believes that an unnamed Championship side that is not Stoke City as previously reported, holds an interest in Collins, but that is as far as it goes. A club in question has recently received a transfer windfall from the sale of one of their key players to a rival and could consider Collins as a potential replacement.

Sounds like Swansea to me, Piroe to Leeds being the windfall.

  3. I, like many others, thought he would be on his way to pastures new last summer, testament to him for sticking with it and showing what a great championship level player he can be, an asset for us now

According to TalkSport Wolves have walked away from a deal for Scott, not being prepared to meet City's valuation.

As much as a deal could be beneficial to us, I can't help but feel a sense of relief with news that he may stay a bit longer!

Well I had the displeasure of attending the Lincoln cup game and can tell you for sure, he didn't look 6'3. Or 6'2. Or even 6'1.

But if you still need convincing, go to the 9 minute Youtube highlights and pause it at 6 mins 47 seconds.

By the way, Andy King is 6'0.

It's entirely a personal preference - I prefer a keeper who has a physical presence about him and Bajic isn't for me. Maenpaa was.

I've seen him on a few occasions and it's never struck me that he comes across as a small keeper.

Maybe Bajic doesn't currently have the physical presence however I would argue that not many keepers do at his age. You're looking at another 8/9 years until he would be considered in his prime for a keeper so am quite content for him to be understudy to Max for now until he gets a proper chance to show what he's about.

Listening to the interview with NP he mentions changing formation. Also Sykes as a wide player and for some reason mentions Naismith started as a winger.

I'm fearing some odd positional choices against Brum.

I don't think Kal has played there since his early twenties, hoping it is indeed a decoy ?

Wouldn't mind seeing Scotty push into number 10 behind Antoine and Nahki with Naismith, Williams and James behind should we go with the back 4.

Or maybe Antoine and Mark Sykes in wider roles and Wells spearheading

Spot on.  To be offside you should be beyond the final defender when the ball is passed and when you receive the ball.

Can't be right, would mean Conway wasn't offside as he was clearly onside when he touched the ball.

Players come back from offside positions and receive the ball in onside positions all the time, - Definitely offside.

Is there really no stream anywhere? How do they get their goal highlights if it's not being captured somehow

Also what's the point of a Cup that no one can watch? Aren't they shooting themselves in the foot with TV rights?

Hoping a stream will pop up closer to kick off, I seem to remember the Wycombe game was randomly on their ifollow channel despite Carabao games apparently not being permitted on there!
