How disappointing is this result.Yes they are a class team but reading these threads we have been all over the place On the back of the last two games it feels even worse. Probably unrealistic to think we would get anything but the manner of the defeat seems to have undone all the good work. Cannot understand bringing back Kodjia to miss more goal chances. Big job for Lee to turn it around for Rotherham next week. Not to confident we will up to the task.

It shows how desperate we are when Wagstaff gets a game. I will never understand how our Manger's this season failed and continue to fail to bring in a striker. How did anyone expect Kodjia / Wilbraham /Agard to get the goals to keep us up.Then lets let Burns go on loan.Priceless.

People got carried away . We are work in progress . On Saturday Vyner got caught out in the second half . I said to my fellow fan , he will get targeted Tuesday . That's life . Plus , our team have run themselves hard for those three wins . We are , after all a mixed bag . Brighton a good side with a few great players . We just need to stay up . For us the Bolton game is our target . Tonight a point would have been a big result . We did not become league trail blazers over night . Brighton scouted us well .
Surely we would have targeted a win at home.

At times like this when you look to the bench to see who can influence a game or add something to the 11 on the pitch, you realise how thin the squad is.

Well for a long time we have had the rich backer in Lansdown and a lot of good it has done for us.Still scraping to survive in the Championship , still not capable of signing a decent striker since last summer and a Manager with no experience of managing in the league we are in. Will they get it as wrong as we have.Is it possible well time will tell. But being the poor relations will be hard to swallow.

Not at the game but following the thread. As usual Kodjia has chances and doesn't take them. Same every week.

Don't we look bl00dy awful. Let's just hope that we can raise our game on Saturday. We gave didn't give West Brom a game we gave them a training session.

Brilliant. Well done Pembo and Wade and all the players. At last a change of formation and some common sense. A breath of fresh air.

If Cotterill refuses to change then he has to go. Credit to the players who ran themselves to a standstill but unfortunately lack that bit of quality at key times. Korey Smith made a lung busting run and was unmarked and screaming for the ball and Kodja farted around until the cover got back.Tragic.Would have been a great goal. Something must change to give us a chance and it needs to be Cotterill.

We carrying any threat up front?
No threat at all. Some decent build up at times but how we will get a goal I don't know. I really hope I am wrong.

Somehow I don't think they wanted this either.....
They might have not wanted it but their actions are responsible for it

The usual reactionary nonsense. These players may lack quality but "spineless" they are not. Spineless implies a lack of effort and that is not the issue at all.
Having a pair also means scoring penalties when so much depends on it.

Sub standard team and Manager for the Championship. Now back in the bottom three. Who the hell will want to join us in January. Those running our club, both on and off the field, should hang their heads in shame for turning last season's success in to this year's pitiful shambles.

When will this current team ever take their chances and seize wins in vital games. Pathetc. Maynard scores for the Dons, Rotherham 3 nil up. I dread a Charlton equaliser.

Agreed but I also expected a defeat last week.
Two defeats in eight or (nine?) before today suggests to me he isn't in immediate danger but in a league where pretty much everyone can beat everyone, we need to stay in contention until January, which despite the pessimists on here, will be when our fate is decided on the basis on what business we do, I feel.
If our fate is to be decided on the basis of our skill in the transfer market then are fate is sealed.

Can't believe that everybody and his brother think January will save us
A car crash of summer
A very mixed at best signing of Loanees
January a notoriously difficult / far from ideal time to buy
What better players are seriously going to ' drop down ' to us to join a relegation battle ?? ( Unless their are a rack of players in L1 / L2 that I've missed who will immediately improve us)
Spot on. Our recruitment and our approach has resembled a circus act. What will change in January.

What chance of Cox getting a chance

And now the 'told you so' brigade come o
And wait for the "Cotterill did a great job last year so however bad it is this year it's OK" brigade to come out in force.
Pathetic.

I vowed not to go to Ipswich again after seeing a couple of trouncing. But a friend of a couple years insisted on treating me to the trip if City were promoted. So the fateful day has arrived and I will meet him and go to the game and sit in with the home fans. Can't see any up side to the day.At least as I live up this way I don't have that far to travel.

Us and Preston in the bottom three and MKD sliding down towards us. Does this just show how big the gap is - bigger than we realised?
When you think of all those on this forum that were saying the team we had was good enough for mid table , I don't know whether to laugh or cry.The only problem is it looks like the club thought the same.We have a squad which has been under funded with a recruitment campaign that was laughable. We seem to be unprepared for the quality of this division and are playing tactics that are contributing to our failure. For me questions have to be asked at whoever thought we could get by on the cheap which I presume is Lansdown and of Cotterill who currently looks all at sea in this division. The tragedy of it all is all the wonderful work of last year is week by week being worn away

Disappointing but not the end of the world and plenty of time to go.But at least it might shut up all those on this forum who believed just turning with the same team from last year would be more than enough to cope with this division. For whatever reason we are behind most other teams in this division in terms of getting our squad together for the season. Let's hope we have a few more on the way and soon.

Korey Smith has picked up another injury in the warm up.Why the hell didn't we bring the midfield player in on loan that LJ talked about. No he thought Korey was getting fit and decided against it .Why the hell take the chance. Surely we should have signed him anyway as insurance. Now we go with the same midfield that was run ragged today. Stupid decision.
