Seen us play worse this season (often). There seemed a decent amount of effort. Should have won it really as Burton were no great shakes with anything to worry about. They were however more organised than us and there stems the root of our problems.

I feel Bryan needs to be sent to Bury/Fleetwood as his confidence has gone and 3 games in a week is asking to much of Wilbs.

Bobby Reid is neither a good offensive or defensive player and anyone who thinks he should play ahead of Brownhill or Patterson is deluding themselves with local pride.

Tomlin is an enigma. He had the potential to win matches alone but when it's not going his way he gets worse and worse as his temper goes. Drops back to far and gets in way of Smith/O'Neil and leaves Wilbs isolated.

A good Coach would know all this and I'm not even that. Just somebody whose played and watched a bit of football for along time.

    Interesting

But why do feel that a player whom you disregard at city would improve Fleetwoods current team ?

Their form is about as good as citys is bad

What, we didn't strengthen where it was needed in the summer of that season, I think it was evident that the squad needed beefing up. LJ/MA and SC from last season are all culpable for this... its been a **** up since we got promoted? No?

I can promise you one thing, had SC had a fraction of the commercial support afforded to the current manager , the squad would not have been as you call it "threadbare"

even not withstanding that, LJ has had a full season and a squad he has assembled himself

nobody else to blame at all

there are literally  £15 to £20m reasons why your SC association with whats happening now is unfair.

finally i can also promise you that SCs only serious forrey into the transfer market (kodjia) will realise significantly more profit than the equal funds provided for Engval.

Im not here to blown warm air up SC backside it wont make any difference now, but he operated with almost a transfer surplus if you include the kodjia sale.

Measure  that with the man you are now comparing him to.

I doubt that he is a replacement for Wes but i must confess to being a bit awkward over the hype surrounding his arrival . He seems a big unit with a good attitude but a proven goalscorer he ain't .

We should be more excited about Wes from the little i've seen of him but what do they say about a prophet in his own country ?

I can tell you this i will be beside myself if Wes leaves and breaks through at another club .

The hype over this french lad who has been playing at the equivalent level of the conference is quite something imho.

we are quick to say our bench are not championship quality but i wonder how many calling for his inclusion took time to watch him play against a FGR side earlier in the week !

i agree on your comments re wes, the two players couldnt be more dissimilar, but frankly since when has that made a difference to squad selection here.

These comments about the ref playing over 5 minutes instead of 4 - I was given to understand that his instructions are to play a MINIMUM of the time shown,  It's then at his discretion beyond that.  Shoot me down if I'm wrong.

Thats true, but the real frustration is that he told the players time was up as the freekick was about to be taken.

he then allowed the freekick and there was two phases before the goal.

he simply didnt have the bottle to blow up when time, by his own admission was already up !!!!!

I do apologise. I really did not mean it like that.

I would have very happily given them a run out today, I really do not see what the downside is. I can see I could have put it better, but I was referring to not being able to fill the bench. Let's hope sons at least get a go before the 88th minute!

    No worries mate

no offense taken at all and no need to apologise, i was being a bit feseasitous really.

hope i spelt that nearly right !!

Bristol City XI:  Fielding, Little, Ayling, Flint, Baker, Bryan, Smith, Pack, Freeman, Wilbraham, Kodjia.

Subs. O'Leary, Williams, Wagstaff, Reid, Agard, Burns.

That bench just brings it home.

Yes lets face it, if we used them we would be in big trouble wouldnt we !!!

we usially wait until we are losing to blame the subs

blow me ,... We managed it an hour before kick off today

    Scott on the bench.

Great to have him back ??

**** me, shows how far our standards have dropped !

i guess as a pro you want to be playing not sat in the  stands

you are of course entitled to your opinion but for me I was simply expressing and sharing a positive moment for Scott in an otherwise bleak season

to my memory Scott has never let the club down nor have our standards been particularly high without him
